thank you for posting this, i was introduced to "the nice Mr Jesus" as a kid but all it did was had me living in fear for the first fiew years; to me, god was judge, jury and executioner what was worsewas that i never felt i had any sort of privacy from him. i tried to love him, i tried to obey him but when i saw some of my supposed friends beating up a thirteen year old boy for coming out as gay, i decided i didnt want to kneel to this tyrant anymore.
I kindof came about on a similar path: all my friends in high school belonged to some sort of faith, and I just wasn't raised religiously so I wanted a religion of my own. I went to the library and checked out every holy book I could find. I made a connection through Native American spirituality, then finally found Wicca/Paganism via a summer spent at Barnes and Noble. Thank you for sharing your story :)

Jesus is supposed to be the Son of God, not God himself. Thats one of the things I didn't understand in my early christian years. Why were they calling him God? My journey into Wicca is practically the same reason. Unanswered questions and answers that didn't make sense to me. Wicca fills me. I studied Wicca for about a year in a half before I started referring myself as Wicca, so it's been about 9 and a half years. My wisest choice, myself. <3
Nah, Jebus is God, God is holy Ghost, Holy Ghost is Jebus, etc. Like the tri-fold. Maiden, Mother, Crone effect while (a woman) is all of them, she is not all of them at once. She works her way in life to them & through them. Boo-yah. ;p
