if u want a more i guess deeper red, or prolly a more pronounced red do you do another session of henna? and if so can you do it right away or must u wait a while b4 henna-ing again? ty in advance!
I have read that you should wait 1 month before you henna again. But the henna gets more rich as it gets older. My henna color is more burgandy now than when I first henna'd it one year ago.
I henna once a week. My hair it to my mid-back. If you want to do it often, don't use lemon juice at all. I just use tea and henna........and a little yogurt if i want to =)
is it possible to be allergic to henna? Because I'm allergic to normal hair dye (I think it;s the chemical PPD) but I have pure henna and i don't know whether you can get allergies from it. thanks!
hi mrs donna! i am astounded by how awesome your hair looks! you are gorgeous and so is your hair! how long did it take for your hair to reach that length?
GORGEOUS!!!! Thanks for the headsup on the coconut oil after hennaing!!.. i think out of all the vids Ive seen...your recipe and application is the one I'll adopt!
Your hair is BEAUTIFUL. How long does the color last before you have to reapply the henna? I am really doing alot of research on what henna products to purchase. Have you ever tried Amla?
Hi, the henna last a long time and gets deeper in color the older it gets. I rehenna my roots ever four weeks. I haven't tried amla, and I purchased my henna from menandi(dot)com. Body art henna for african hair.
Hi Donna Mac! Your hair is really pretty. I like the henna look on you. I want to henna my hair, but I understand that it can be very drying...did you experience dryness?
@lindajai No the henna did not dry out my hair, it made it fuller I think, and after 9 months it is even more red than it was when I first henned it! Sorry it took so long toanswer this question :(
so beautiful.. did u rinse out the henna and then apply the coconut oil after deep conditioning and such? or do u apply the coconut oil while the henna is still in the hair??
I have not used any commercial dye since I colored my hair with henna. It was dyed before I used the henna, and there were no adverse reactions. Maybe you can go to Curlynikki's webcite and see if she has any advice...
Thanks a lot, Donna. I'm going to try to stick with the henna, for now. I'm not sure how to navigate (?) Curly Nikki's page for questioning. Be blessed, Happy New Year!
i am only getting my hair pressed out because i am trying to wear a style that will hide my new growth and my damaged relaxed ends at the same time. but i used to have a wavy perm and i was thinking if i got KCCC or something then i could style my hair into a curly style without it looking too bad. because when i wash my hair you can already tell which part is the permed and which is the natural.
As if you can't hear this enough, but I agree with everyone. Your hair is absolutely gorgeous! Now I am wondering how many years it's going to take for my little afro to grow that long, lol! :)
I just happened to be panning around and saw your channel. I never comment by reply so this is an absolute must for me. The total transformation of your hair just from henna and amla alone made me speechless! You have a glow that never showed in your videos before this one. I just KNOW you are going to blow up tremendously on you tube. You are absolutely inspiring and you proved AGAIN the beautiful results of henna!
All natural Henna gives a red tone. There are some Hennas out there that say black, brown, Auburn. Stay away from those they contain harsh ingredients that harm your hair. You can go to the hennaforhair website and get alot of info about natural Body Art Henna, whichis the only Henna you should use in your hair. They alsoshare how tomix Henna to get different hues.
Thank you! I think you can use any hair lotion, because I used the Tropical Traditions Coconut oil and my home made Shea Butter Lotion.I was amazed at the results!
Very beautiful and natural looking.

@lindajai it is pretty drying but thats also why she used coconut oil. coconut oil restores the moisture lost with henna
