Wow, that's one big Toy you got there. I have an edge 540 27% 79" WS and i barely get it in my Car. I can imagine trying to Fit this in a 4DR Volkswagon Jetta....
I love my electrics but with a large scale 3D plane like this it's just not the same without being able to hear that big gas engine screaming at full power as it does aerobatics.
If you don't know much about the larger scale, then you don't need to be buying one.
I'm saying that to save you money. If you haven't mastered torque rolls or flight, then you don't need to spend a few thousand on an airplane like this.
You'll want the best electric motor - and ones suited for this size start at $850 and go up.
Chip has been flying for so many years and has competed (and won) several TOC events.
whoah!...your power to weight ratio is ridiculous. it seemed you needed relatively low power to keep the craft suspended during the prop stall then did a vertical ascent at an amazing rate........hum...apply this tech to aircraft now?/?
guy at controls....have your self a corona!..you've earned it@!
it sounds like gas from fare away, thats pretty cool. some day electic will be the new gas. the electricks advance evey day. i will convert to the gaint electrics when it is less exepncive than gas because just the .80 sized electrics are more exepcive than gas. i was going to convert my exra 300sp the new one to elecric but with the batterys it costway more than gas. sorry bout the spelling i am 13 so i dont spell well even know i should
Yes but the only thig with electrics is that the batteries for those size planes are very very expensive, you have to chrage them all the time which can take a while, and at the end of the day you may only get a few flights in if you only have 3 or so batteries. But still very nice plane ;)
so glad to see the emergence of electric r/c... so much more convenient, much quieter, more reliable, and model engines emit the equivalent of 100 or more cars with pollution controls. Did u see the "plane dancers" last year on that prime-time reality show? Awesome.
to bad its electric :(
