OK, anybody who doesn't want to get this game is nuts. This game looks awesome and has a lot of promise. There are some people who are worried about this, but generally this is for the same reasons why some people didn't like DKC3 (which was an awesome game by the way): BECAUSE IT ISN'T EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE FIRST TWO GAMES. It still looks incredibly awesome, though.

I don't like the character designs for the Tikis, they look as if they were lazily sketched and modeled. Other than that the game is looking pretty incredible. Will this game have an online component by any chance?

Does this take place on DK Isle? If so how? In Donkey Kong 64 there was no volcano at the top. Secondly what are Tikis doing inside of a volcano.

Yeah, this is Donkey Kong Island. The volcano probably only recently surfaced, and its activity may have led to the deterraformation of the island's kong face.

@ladiifresh4894 Honestly, I don't think so. That thing is definitely the "figurehead" of the Tikis and we'll probably still fight him, but back in June Retro considered the final boss a big deal and was very hush-hush about its identity. Is something like this worth being so secretive about?

I think someone else is calling the shots. Determining who "someone" is shouldn't be too hard...(and yes, Retro seemingly denied him but maybe that was all part of the hype plan.)

@KingzEric Its likely it was a mountain with a snow covered peak, which turned out to actually be a dormant volcano, and now its erupted, this sort of thing actually happens in the real world as well.

If you really want to make sense of it, you could simply say that the volcano was inactive in DKC1. Take Yellowstone, go there in the winter and then guess how it would look if it erupted.

@KingzEric My guess is that DK moved off his original "DK Island" to get away from the Kremlings. All was going well when Donkey Kong was taking too many of the Islands bananas and the Tiki Tak Tribe appeared. They saw how DK was stealing their bananas, and decided to starve the Ape. Hypnosis was going good too, & then DK Learned what he did with Captain Falcon in Smash Bros how to deal with difficult problem, and that's how his journey starts.

That's one idea. Thumbs up if this sound feasible.
