I have just downloaded garageband, I have various other music apps and synths. I have to say I think it's bloody wonderful, I've got a lovely little ambient soundscape going already.

Oh yes, I create sound sculptures (I can barely read music and cannot play an instrument, but I have 70 tracks on soundcloud now and lots of interest. It's the thinking of it not the tool as @captainVasily says, I like to create my own music and music forms :-) each to their own eh guys? :-)

@GregorRossi Hi, sorry. You can sample your own guitar, and yes you can play the guitar like a real guitar in a fashion. I think it's worth the money myself, it's a pretty powerful app for the price :-)

Biggest waste of $4.99 in my life, this thing is a joke. First of all, the drums SUCK. Secondly, if you try to plug in a guitar directly to this and use the app's amp, all you get is loud static and you can very faintly hear the guitar, no matter what you do to change the settings. What a joke.

Except when the song is compressed it DOESN'T sound great. Or at least one of my songs doesn't. Don't get me wrong, this is an awesome app and does amazing things and it's definitely worth your time and money, but I hate how it allows me to make a cool song that in reality can't be compressed and still sound half as good. I think it's because I lowered the resolution in the percussion track so it got loud, but how do I save it without having to change that and ruin the song? Please help! Thanks!

@dwelitz As long as you want. ...Or at least like 7 minutes cuz that's how long I've made one. Here's how to change the length if you havent already found out: Above all the track icons on the left is a little white puzzle piece icon (or at least I think it's a puzzle piece :/) Anyway if you click that it will show you how many bars are in your song. Click the arrow next to it and add more bars. Depending on the tempo your song will be longer or shorter, but I usually do around a 100 bars.

@UncleJoey12 iCloud is a service that holds your files in a server to make more space available for your device. As for syncing, there must be a way of sending and receiving your files. Also, I don't think there will be new iPad 2 coming out. If there is there will be iPad 3, and I haven't found anything about it after a research. But I am waiting too..
