  • Hehe I'm a Magnacharger fan, but I see people making big power with both Maggie's and Prochargers. I love this car though. :) This cam you're giving a demo of is soon to be going in an 08 G8 GT with MP1900 @11lbs :) What stall on the converter do you think I should go with to accommodate it?

  • @G0ATMOLESTOR yes really your saying that a procharger sucks. well i got news for you. anything that is capable of making a motor put down over 600 to the wheels does not suck. a well built supercharger can be faster then a turbo set up. they are both great ways to get power

  • @G0ATMOLESTOR you are an idiot. Procharges are a great way to increase horsepower. For one, No lag. Turbos give out to much lag. for instance, take a 580hp naturaly asspirated motor, slap on a procharger and watch the increase. Its instant power to the motor, instead of having to wait for the power to kick in. I happen to have a pro charger car, and i dont regret getting one. Just switch the pulley and increase hp as well. Your just someone that has no idea what they are talking about.

  • @BlownGhost68 No, you don't know what your talking about. Prochargers do have lag. They don't reach full boost until peak rpm. You only reach full boost for a small amount of time. I take it you don't know what I'm talking about when I say anti lag or 2 step. You can launch at full boost on a turbo, so there goes you "lag". Can you do that with a Gaycharger, oh no, you can't. Turbos will reach full boost much sooner then a procharger, which is why they have a much better torque curve.

  • @BlownGhost68 Oh and all you have to do to raise boost on a turbo is adjust the wastegate. If you have a boost controller then it's as simple as turning a knob. That takes about two seconds. Give or take a second. Way easier then changing a pulley. Try reading a book then come back when you know something.

  • @G0ATMOLESTOR you need to read a book. So what your telling me, is a turbo can spool faster then any super charger? Roots style and all? Have you ever seen outlaw 10.5 cars with 100+ mm sizes? They need to be staged last because they need to WAIT for the turbo to be spooled up. As superchargers have the boost instantly. And yes i know what anti lag and 2 step is. And it takes 2 seconds to do a pulley change on a supercharger.

  • @G0ATMOLESTOR thanks man, i happen to know that its a centrifugal. But lets do some numbers here. Take a 434 small block chevy, with NA hp of 493. Put an F-2 on it with EFI. Heres the new numbers. 1495hp which is a 203% hp gain. PLease tell me how prochargers suck. I never said i didnt know what anti lag was. You assumed i didnt know. Anti lag is is an engine management technique that allows to minimize the TURBO lag time. You have no experience to say prochargers suck.

  • @BlownGhost68 I'll explain it one last time. Prochargers suck because they take power from your engine to turn. They also build boost based on engine speed. Superchargers in general are less efficient then turbo's. Prochargers are rpm dependant. Turbo's are load dependant. Turbo's take less power to turn and have a much better torque curve. You can also have full boost at launch with turbo's. You cannot with Prochargers. Gaychargers are the worst of both worlds. That is why they suck major ass.

  • @G0ATMOLESTOR dude...u need to listen to what this Blownghost guy is saying (and yes i know your post is old but still) i have a 10 second daily driven full interior 99 camaro SS..only engine mods are a P1SC (one the SMALLEST prochargers they make) a mild blower cam, and water meth injection..and of course full exhaust and suspension mods...and i run those times with a stock 10 bolt rear with crappy 3.23 gear ratio..car makes well over 540 RWHP...if prochargers suck..then how u explain my car?

  • @BlownGhost68 Turbo's also reach full boost long before Prochargers do. Turbo's will make more h.p. then superchargers with the same amount of boost. Just admit, the only reason why you're arguing is, because you don't know what you're doing, you bought a ProCharger, and now you're mad because you're starting to realize you wasted your money.

  • @G0ATMOLESTOR turbos do not reach full boost before prochargers. you need to read some shit before you think you know every thing. I can promise you, that i have built more motors, both turbo and supercharged, then you have. Lets say for instance, you have a turbo small block running @ 19psi, and a supercharged small block @ 19psi. The supercharged motor's boost, is way greater then the turbo. You need to think before you speak. You have everything backwards.

  • @numic1z1 I love it when people try to argue about something that they know nothing about. You can make max boost off idle on a turbo. Prochargers DO NOT make max boost off idle, they are r.p.m. dependent. Turbo's are not. Look at some dyno charts of cars with Gaychargers. Again try spending five minutes researching something before you make yourself look like an idiot.

  • @numic1z1 Thanks Hirosada. It's about time someone got on here with half a brain. Dear numic, a Procharger is a centrifugal supercharger. It does not make full boost of idle. It is rpm dependent. Meaning it makes peak boost at peak rpm. And yes, you can make peak boost at launch with a turbo. Now go hit yourself in the temple with a hammer. You're the reason we have a pictures on lawnmowers telling us to not to stick our hand in the spinning steel blades. I hope you don't have any kids.

  • Bassman it would be and is almost a must to have sine form of cpu tuning A/F tunning and timming tuning to run forced in duction unless you are running a very low boost amout you could just rigg it and add more fuel pressure and let the computer think it out but it would not be done right and thats not what you wanna do.. so it would be smart too is all im saying but please do you research in turboing such a motor and requirements :) have fun happy tunning

    What are the cam specs? It sounds like a 112LSA but it would need to be at least a 114 to be a blower cam. Love the lump! -eg
