@knmlover Okay, maybe I exagerated a bit just to prove a point. I hear this about every generation and everybody wants to be "that" generation and not their own. The 80s were fun, and it had a bit of innocence especially for teenagers. I'll be straight with ya' - the one thing I miss about the 80s was the real, close-up and personal communication young people had to do. (to be continued)

But you are correct, there are exactly 5 albums that has sold between 30-40 million copies, with Led Zepplin's Led Zeppelin IV at the lead with 37 million. So what's 5 million more when Bad also on that list at 30 million? Anyway, you should totally send me a copy of source file for this video.

@svp123com No, I'm talking particular ALBUM sales, not career. AC/DC's "Back In Black" which introduced Brian Johnson as lead singer is 2nd to the Thriller Album. I recall when MJ's album outsold it, - recall as hearing it on the radio.

I was there too so it is a matter of opinion. Those who think Thriller is the only work worthy of consideration have an incomplete view of the catalog. Five #1 singles from Bad including Man In The Mirror. Without Dangerous, no Black Or White. No History, no Scream, Earth Song, Stranger in Moscow, They Don't Care About Us. Fan of his personal life? Who cares if you aren't since his personal life is none of your business. There is no doubt Thriller is a great album as it is the biggest selling album in history at 110 million. But, Michael Jackson continued to put out great work that many of his fans like even more. Bad album sold 35 million, Dangerous sold 40 million...check them out!

@tabccb1 Check them out? I was there, - I lived that era! I don't need to check it out (again). Thriller was it, - after that it was all down hill. I think he was on the verge of a comeback myself, but that Doctor killed him. Sad, isn't it?. Dangerous only sold 30 Million.

If everyone stops comparing Thriller to everything else Michael did, they would realize that this man is the consummate artist who possessed songwriting and vocal abilities unmatched or surpassed by a handful. Heck, even ABBA sold more than that. Ac/Dc, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Dire Straits, Bon Jovi, KISS, Pink Floyd... the list goes on forever.

Admit it, after Thriller he lost it. Drugs do that to ya'... That Doctor did it to him! I believe that the stress along with the drugs just messed him up and took away his talent.

It' not just about quantity, it's also about quality, and believe me... every single album MJ has sold, has been played and enjoyed more than other's. If I have a dollar for every time I played my lp of Bad, I would have a million dolars. (FORGIVE MY ENGLISH)
