Great advice Brett. It's easy to get too caught up in technique. At some point you have to just trust that your body and cords will coordinate at a subconscious level. It's much easier to connect with your audience (and yourself) if you aren't constantly thinking "what is my diaphragm doing, do I have enough cord closure, ect.."
