are there any other school in the world that teach the Orthodox Shaolin Wing Chun? other than those that are related to the master Nam Anh or someone that studied there.
Hey thats good! I know they dont show any knockouts in the video, but I can tell that they wouldnt be able to knock their opponent out in a proper fight efficiently. They have great skills, but they dont have the most important aspect, the blow to end the fight. But at this high level, learning it will not be a problem at all.
@suypersaiyan I was there when this video was made, this pratice was to demonstrated leg technics . Just before this 2 others guy did the same whit the hand. So that's some of the kick include in this style of wing chun.
Well if this is authentic Wing Chun then it is the rarest branch I've ever seen. I like to learn this style because the stances fits my features. Footwork seems much better. Unlike those other Wing Chun stances that limits my agility.
Hi! I was of the understanding that there is no "Shaolin Wing Chun" because it was created outside the temples, with the rebels, even though shaolin masters created it (for example the staff form). I train wing chun and the key part of the system is the body structure that is not in this video. This might be just a shaolin fight. Still It was a really good fight and is always good to train different arts (I also train hight kicks and other forms) but it's best to have a base and not confuse it
@kungfumartialartist I've seen your website and still I see no explanation that says this is wing chun. Wing Chun was a style created to eliminate other fighting styles, like the long style fighting seen in this video and based in 2 animals. A style created to fight in a limited space, protecting the center line and facing straight to the opponent, not giving your flank. Yes, there are different branches to wing chun, but all based in the same theory and origins (the lady named Wing Chun)

grand master nam anh is a grand master in many styles both from shaolin and wu-tang thats why dis is not only wing chun but SHAOLIN NAM ANH wing chun kung fu...dont worry they get all the traditional wing chun training over-there
It may not be exactly Wing Chun, and there may have been some TKD-style kicks present, but nonetheless I am impressed with the level of skill the two fighters showed in their technique. Too often does a kung fu sparring match turn into Tae Kwon Do sparring or childish slapping.
Thanks for the comment, but I must emphasize that these two fighters are not advanced level, rather intermediate.
Also again, please refer to our website for more information on our branch of Wing Chun, the Orthodox branch, which although different from others, actually is Wing Chun!
@kungfumartialartist it is wrong to say this is wing chun or that is wing chun...we learn martial arts to defend or express ourselves. if we learn martial arts to defend ourselves we must train what will work in a real situation
therefore you should rather look at what works and what doesn't in a real life situation rather than the differences within each style because at the end of the day it isn't the style that wins but the person that expresses what he/she has learned from that style
This is very good technique, but I am confused as to your lineage of Wing Chun. This is nothing like any Wing Chun I've seen before. Not facing square to the opponent, high circular and spinning kicks, low horse stances, and more.
Recent historical data has come out to suggest that Wing Chun may have more Shaolin influence than was previously thought. The popular history of WC may have been a cover story to disguise its creation and purpose. Either way it still has Shaolin roots.
This styles master was a student of vietnamese wing chun and White Eyebrow also known as Pai Me or eagle claw, That is why it looks so different .A mixture of kung fu styles .I really like the look of this Kwoon,,. NICE.SCHOOL.
It is derived from one of the 5 Shaolin masters that escaped the Manchurian burning of the Temple. She customized a kung fu style to a girl named Wing Chun, who needed to learn how to fight to win a fight that would force her to be married to the winner. The art was named after her.
Lol pwnage reply. But if one of them WERE to fight them.. There conditioning is so rough they'd probably own an mma fighter. But hey 2 different people fighting.. Unexpected always happens
It's great to see someone sparring in the old school fashion, without all the pads, and using a variety of kung fu techniques instead of just kickboxing.
Tch... these attacks only would make someone angry... the hands, even with a light-contact sparring should look firm... not a spaguetti! Double kicks are USELESS in a fight... no firm leg base... not carefull with the waist (brazilian jiujitsu would KILL them...) and they look nervous... from a chinese low graduated student, its fine...
This is not Wing Chun as you know it. This is one of the less known branches of Wing Chun, one that has kept the teachings of the 5 shaolin animals as well as other techniques.

Yes I agree too. They weren't that great.
But I'm not sure if any MMA artists will have what it takes to fight with a Shaolin Monk though.
They are trained to kill not to fight. Every battle is not really about winning or losing for them. It's a matter of life or death.
I don't think any MMA fighter could handle that.
