For some reason youtube's not showing me my comments that I'm posting, so hopefully I'm not spamming this page trying to comment for like the 8th time, but on the tracklisting of the CD, if you bought it, that was what it was listed as.
I have the physical CD, on the tracklisting it specifically says it, trust me. Maybe if you downloaded it, the filename might be shortened. Infact here's a picture from someones flickr if you demand proof or something (go to "tinyurl . com / botarpic", without the spaces and quotation marks of course)
Bandit's version of the song is slower, and much less heavy, but at the same time has just that much more energy to it than Streetlight's version. I definitely prefer this version, it's much more loose and dark.
That being said, Streetlight's probably my favorite of the two bands. But when BOTAR does something like this, they do it perfectly. Here's to hoping for a Bandit 99 SOR Volume 2. :D
So i favorited this song about a year ago and and only listend to the first 30 secs. this is the first time i actually listend to the full song!!! Jesus i missed out!!!!
Not that anyone probably cares but, the full title of this song is "They Provide The Paint For The Picture Perfect Masterpiece That You Will Paint On The Insides Of Your Eyelids"
@tseng61 actually, that's what streetlight called it... BOTAR named it "They Provide The Paint For The Picture Perfect Masterpiece That You Will Paint On The Inside Of You

What I don't like is that the voice is too quiet in comparison to the instruments, makes it sounds very amateur-like. I don't know why they're doing this, it's not like that in Streetlight songs...
imo it's loud enough.....they're slightly incoherent lyrics because it's so damn fast but the vocals are loud enough. The thing to keep in mind is this was originally self-produced which means they probably did not have access to an entirely awesome studio. In a sense it was amateur =P
It's suppose to be 2 albums by Streetlight, 2 by BOTAR, but like I'm reading this on Wiki and apparently these are done by an unknown artist from the band...? Do they mean not Kalnoky? Cuz it probably won't be as amazing as this music than.
It's 2 by BOTAR, 2 by Streetlight, and 4 by two other unknown bands. Tomas will do the ones for Streetlight and BOTAR. I mean, I don't know why he wouldn't.
@Carpenella If you think about it, there was a point in time where Streetlight Manifesto was more Catch 22 than Catch 22 itself. Think about it, Josh Ansley, Tomas Kalnoky, Mike Soprano, and Jamie Egan were all former Catch 22 members.
better than sm's version

The intro kind of sounds like SM's "If And When We Rise Again"

TheWhitestJerksEva 2 years ago
not crappy instruments, just different. its not as powerful because they put in clarinets and strings. but thats sorta the point of this band

i think its cause of youtube, and the fact that the file might be a rip. not straight from the disk.
