Not even one Travis. B. I saw these Cha-Cha type drums on a Pat Metheny video & thought to myself, "gee, this is very jumpy Cha-Cha type sounding drums." Pat looked like a Muppet on guitar, with big hair flopping.

Antonio Sanchez is one drummer of today who is a real intellectual on the instrument. He has a lot of tradition in his playing, but definitely has found a signature sound.

His May 2005 interview in Modern Drummer was very great. Check it out.
