there are vr6 syncro's,,, only in the golf mk3 vr6 syncro, and there is a way to make m RWD...

But Don't exactly ask me how, but I've seen 2 of them driving...

just one problem, the handling is horrible when you do it because the short wheelbase and the weight in front.. so personally I wouldn't even bother trying ;)

actually the vr6 engine comes in 2 diff types, 2,8L and 2,9L.

2,8L on first euro models rado vr6 and all vento vr6, 2,9 only on later euro model rado's.

allthough im not sure i think the golf only has the 2,8L engine.

I have a 2L mk3 golf it had the neuspeed chip amongst other mods and I can assure you that it didnt beat even the shadow of a srt4.

The 2.0 is such a dog... I have since put a turbo on it to finally make it have a little life even only at 9psi.
