Hey Bitch Maddow, real economic growth comes from savings. One needs to save & then use that savings towards economic investment. This crisis was cause by central economic planning by the Federal Reserve, discouraging savings and encouraging people to use their homes like a credit card to buy crap that I now see at the Goodwill store. Everybody has spent too much money and now it is time for everyone, including the Uncle Sam, to cut spending.

Do some research into the panics of 1819 & 1920.

Actually....how did we get into this recession...because there was too much BUYING....people were BUYING when they shouldn't have been BUYING.....People were BUYING BIG rather then BUYING SMALL....People have more debt now then people in the 70's, 80's or 90's....

That was me in a bad mood and I have since corrected my self but not YouTube. I do not feel as though she is Anti-American, however, I do believe that her theory is incorrect. Her idea of spending even more money to build the economy in my opinion is wrong. We got into this recession because of wasteful spending. And Rachel's idea is to have the gov't spend big so that "creates jobs" and then people spend money. How about getting people to save money, so they can afford what they buy?

well in terms of infrustructure it works like this: the government says "let's build a bridge, road, school, giant ice cream parlor, whatever. americans get hired to build that thing. those workers buy stuff someone haqs to make that stuff ship that stuff sell package etc. more jobs more employed people spending more jobs again. and all of these people pay taxes on what they make. quite simple really. also if the thing build is useful iit can create more jobs.

there's one problem there, the government doesn't have any money. So they have to take it from someone to do that.

Shouldn't it go: we need a bridge, road, school, giant ice cream parlor, whatever.  and the go to the "lets build" stage. You need to spend the money on things that do the most to befit the economy and the money that is spent need to be spent effectively and efficiently not just spent for the sake of spending.
