  • Bellissimo! Wonderful!!! i love this!

  • I have never in my LIFE heard a good flute ((what do you expect from Arkansas?)) and you are the handsdown best flute i have ever heard....EVER <3

  • How I wish I could play like this. So beautiful :) And original music...it is amazing. Love it!

  • i was just wondering what kind of headjoint do you play on? do you own several? I just ordered a pearl elegante flute and I also ordered a calore headjoint to go with it...still waiting on the flute. I love how sweet your sound is.

  • @Ffreak08

hello "Ffreak08"--I play on a Miguel Arista headjoint, I own two of them, both silver, but one w/gold chimney, and one w/silver chimney. LOVE them. I also love my Pearl solid gold headjoint, so I switch around a bit to keep things interesting! All the best, Rhonda

  • Hi Rhonda! Love this so much! I have been working on doing this singing/playing for a while. It's challenging and fun. Oh and you look very much like Marcella! I used to work for her. Thanks for this very nice.

  • Hey Rhonda this is one of my absolute fav pieces that Ive heard you play...i recorded myself on here and wanted to know what you think of it? Although i do have the sing and play music part, I didn't include it in my recording.

  • Veeeeery Mysterious and very Mystic. Absolutely Beautiful.

  • Wow! what a surprising gem! Thank You tube for recommending this video; amazing!

  • this is an amazing piece - very tricky to get down and under the fingers the way Mrs. Larson does. She makes it seem so effortless, when on the other hand your going mad over all the notes you try to fit in on a breath lol. still chipping away at it, but it's getting there.

  • it's very beautiful, but why not just have a solo flute and singer.

  • Just wondering why do you make your pinky do all that work?

  • @Bandman630

You cracked me up with laughter....So TRUE that I have a pinky thing. Though I train during practice to keep it in line, try as I might, it goes off on it's own in performance. The truth is, I would have to really crimp my wrist and fingers more to keep this baby still, so though I train for obedience, I usually get what works, hand-wise... My sincere apologies for distracting you, I mean that! Rhonda

  • the part from 1:34 to 1:45 is playing as background music on pearl flutes webpage;)

  • im in band at m school and i play flute one reson i play flute is because i think its a pretty insterment and i love the sound one more reson i started because of you thank you for creating my life for future planning! <3

  • Hi, some people said, when performer play music on stage in 3 minute, but need more that few years to practice. Well done...............

  • Simply wonderful! How can you get (even) better and better?

    Congratulations, dear Rhonda!

  • Hello 'forgetthedifference',

The grade for the piece? Perhaps an A minus? (Just kidding!)

As I wrote it myself, I don't know how to grade it, but it is very challenging! The trick is to not make it sound as difficult as it is...The vocal/flute part alone took me several years before it was ready for the stage...And the body of the piece is challenging in getting the melody to 'shine' above the harmony notes---lots of beloved practice, that is all I can say.

    Thanks for writing. Rhonda Larson

  • @WoodNymphMusic

It's awesome you wrote this pece by yourself and i really want to play it, but i'm afraid i won't be able not to make it sound difficult, i will be able to play it anyhow, haha

still, you give me hope by saying it took you too a long time until you could play it this good, haha ;)

thanks for sharing your awesome videos!

  • So neat! I love this hymn.

  • This is beautiful.

  • HOW DO YOU SING AND PLAY LIKE THAT???

You have a beautiful voice :)

The harmonic effect of that is so cool. I wish I could do it as well as you can, but it does something funny to my tone.

You have fast fingers, too ;) I love watching you play, and listening is even better.

Hope to become as good as you someday.

  • @allegraconbrio

I was taught how to do that in band. It 's very hard.

  • @Koyko200 I know how to do it, but I'm not very good at it. She ^ is very, very, very good at it.

  • YAY, Rhonnie!!! I'd not heard this beginning before. Love you and all you bring to bless my life and soul.

  • Can you post Slow Tears? Because that's my absolute favorite piece you've done, and I would love to be able to share it via youtube.
