My old mate Bass player Martin, real name Mark Bottomley from York, I'd gone to see the Clash in Brixton + special guests, then i see my mate walk on, I'd had no idea they were the supporting act. strange feeling that seeing your mate up there on the same bill as your heroes!
right wingers walk like ducks because thier fathers didn't use lube or preparation-H when they trained thier tender butt holes to follow the rules for life
Wasn't it great in the 80s when we had songs about ideas, class, politics, history, but enough of WHAM! The Redskins were great too. What would Britain be like today had the miners brought down Thatcher? Discuss..
properly integrated into the EU, richer for it as well as saving billions from a lack of a nuclear weapon program, closer ties to other european countries, further from america and as a result not involved in iraq for anything other than humanitarian aid and probably more self reliant as the mines would still be open, significantly reducing unemployment and energy costs. and as giantplanet said, a lot better
mrpistol77 you were just using it to give you're self some kudos .Iwas ateenager on the backstreets ofBelfast where my family &friends were murdered by terrosist's supported by the the thatchrite government andtheir shoot tokill policy on catholic's .But we sent what we could i.e food, blankets, medince and the support of apeople who refuse to be trampled upon .VICTORY TO THE LIVERPOOL DOCKER'S .hope you rot in hell you scab scum
you know somethin? 1984,, i had the cudown lambretta and the sign writing on the tank....keep on keepin on,,,i thought this song was the dogs bollocks,,,23 years later? i here it here ,,,and you know,,its BOLLOCKS absolute bollocks
I remember Peasant Army very well, although I was always more of a "Lean on Me" man myself. Great band, saw them several times in 1984-5, Chris Dean had a superb soulful voice.
Fantastic! Was right into The Redskins,Favourite song was Peasant Army which was b-side of 1st single! Anybody remember it? Saw them a few times & always great! I Want A Vespa Again,Don't Get Married!
Sure ScottishSnareBear! And, I agree, for the rest, what we need is a vespa again!!! LOL
It was the B-side of Lev Bronstein, their 1st single in 1982 or 1983.
Their LP Neither Washington Nor Moscow -- fortunately I own a copy -- was truly fantastic and they did such awesome songs such as Bring It Down!, Kick Over The Statues!, It Can Be Done!, The Power Is Yours..., Go Get Organized!, Hold On!, Lean On Me. My fav is this song, Keep On Keepin' On!
