  • Thanks Justin. Dont ever let the nay sayers get to you! We dont see them posting great stuff. Keep it up. You're a genuine guy.

  • Thank you sooo much! I perfer the other version but i was getting cinfused about where to play the cords and what b-7 was?!?ill find that myself :) cheers

  • Thanks as always Jason. You are a generous and sincere guy.

  • where is the strumming pathern? x_x

  • @Ehveree I'm taught by my guitar instructor that it is b7, and I am sure J plays b7.

  • why is it that you people on youtube who want to learn us how to play guitar talks like almoust over halv the movie !! GOD it is annoying :O .. get a grib , and just show us how to play it ,, if i wanna listen to someone talk i'll just go watch tv ????

  • he looks sad in this video.

  • I don't get it, what's the rythm (up-down) ???

  • hi james blunt.

  • Hallelujah hat du auch alle Tabs wo Spilst Deutsch

  • Hallelujah hast du auch alle Tabs wo Spielt Deutsch dann schreibe doch rein Gruss dein treuer Gitarren Freund

  • super lesson Justin always the best!!!

  • ....

  • Nice cover Justin thank you. Your chord lessons have really helped me to become reasonably decent at guitar. I hate the B7 though and it's on this tune = [

  • thank you so much man keep on rockin our world!

  • man i like the way you give instruction , just for your listening pleaseure , JUSTIN LISTEN TO THE 2010 OLYMPICS VERSION by KD Lang , it is on the internet and on I tunes , it will blow you away. cheers

  • great video,it helped me A LOT. thanks dude, really good job

  • Leonard Cohen's version is superior to all covers.

  • whats i do first g , d , em , c ?

  • strum pattern anyone?

  • whats the strums?

  • 53 People Dont Know Their Beginner Chords....LOSERS!

  • That is very beautiful. I wish it had been recorded from behind you though, so that the guitar, chords and finger picking could be seen from the same angle you see it from. I think it would make it easier for me to learn it...as I am a bit slow figuring out which chords and strings you are playing.

  • this has made it a lot easier for me to learn thanks! :)

  • I'm having trouble with the B7? The chord with the 7? Please help!! And the chord after that!!!?

  • Ive been teaching myself guitar with the help of whatever online info I could find. What a mess. I wish I had found your website at the beginning but better late than never. I appreciate your playing and your clear and concise teaching method. You seem like a very positive man and I cant thank you enough. I'm going back to the beginning and try to undo my mistakes. Thanks again , beautiful song.

  • i love you for this vid

  • too fast

  • thanks :)

  • I really really need to teach this to my daughter but is there anything in writing to help us? She is auditioning for a movie and I need it now, help =)

  • Wish you would have explained B7 but I really like your chord progressions

  • Klasse...danke konnte ich super von lernen...danke....;)

  • you are good man..!!

  • I am so in love with you

  • just thaks...

  • subbed !! :)

  • Thats wrong. soory, but you're playing the wrong chords. It goes

    verse~ C Am C Am F G C G C F G Am F G G Em/E

    chorus(hallelujah)~ F C F Am F Am F C G C ( Last C chord is optional )

This song is good if you can root strum and alternate strum while finger-picking bass notes and the chords root and alternate notes.

  • @jobyrnsman what a fag!

  • @michaelEllis23 I like girls actually.

  • @jobyrnsman doubt it

  • @jobyrnsman The version with the World Idol guy is played like this and if you play that with a capo on the 5th fret it is the same as the one you wrote just an octave higher!

  • @kranskyman27 You probably can't even read music. My chords are the ones that Jeff Buckley uses and as the music is written,

  • @jobyrnsman Good on you, I can read music.

  • great!

  • Thank you sir, this is quite possibly one of the best tutorials out there. Thanks!

  • EXCELLENT for a "beginner" like me. Thanks a lot Justin :)

  • thank you so much, i just began to play the guitar :) and this version is great and easy to learn !

  • Yes!! I literaly jumped from my chair when i saw you teach this song as one of your lessons!!! YESSSS!!

    congrats...

    XD

  • god thank you . i think you´re the only one who didnt use a capo. because i dont have one

  • He's playin a steel stringed guitar yea?

  • amazing dude :D

  • thanks helped alot (:

  • Then he should disable comments besides it was directed to you. So let him answer

  • @mchestnut1970 he has like 50 millions views, he doesnt need ur advice

  • Check KD Lang,

  • seems like D--UDU

    or

D--UDUD--UDUD--UDUD-DUDU if the same note lasts for the whole bar. can anyone confirm? it sounds right but i cant figure out how to fit in the hammer-on

  • @Nickykiss i believe he's going hard strum down, then lighter down up down up

  • @Nickykiss hey dude, you dont want to think of it that way, I dont know where you at but try playin along with easy rythem stuff, listen to the drums and try dance your hand along with it. It doesnt matter so much about the up down strumming so much at first it will come naturally after a while.

  • lol your too heavy english can't follow X D

  • omg yu made my work so much more easier! love the intro for the jeff buckley version but it's kinda complicated. this is much better. thanks!

  • an easier way to play D chord is pointer finger across 2nd fret all 3 strings E B G and ring finger on B 3rd fret

  • Yes but it makes it really hard to mute the three lowest strings. For me at least.

  • whats that accord on 3:05 ????

  • it's still e minor m8

  • justin i whent to over. you tube for this song and it the easy way to play with you thanks a lot

  • how do you play the right hand?

  • I've usually been playing it in C key (C, Am, C, Am etc) but this was great, I can finally sing to the guitar. Great effect with the 3rd and 4th finger on the G and Em, helped alot!

    Cheers!

  • Hi justin what's up there ??!!

So , thinkin' if you could do Money for Nothin' of dire straites and show us how to do it !!

  • Thx! :) u helpt me alot with this song! :D

    5/5!

  • hey Folkz i think strumming is like

    down up down up down

    isnt it peepz !!!

  • why does he use 4 fingers for playing the G?

  • its just another variation of it

  • its just what type of G you prefer

  • i think its G7 chodr

  • no its not G7 is different ...

but this G what he use is very nice there, standart G doesn't siute there as good as this G does

  • Because a G can either have the:

    open B (the third)

or the 3rd Fret D (the fifth)

  • 6th string, 5th string, 2nd string and 1st string.

  • sounds nicer

    :)

  • For a fuller sound

It's the way I usually play my G chord unless a certain song has just happens to sound better the regular way

  • So wait what is the strum pattern for this?

  • Very well done. You explained everything perfectly. thank you very much

  • whoa whoa whoa...

    B 7? whyy!! :( :L

  • yeah that chord is driving me mad XD

  • whats wrong with a B7?

  • i never really learned it :(

  • thanks so much! your instructions are very clear! with a little practice, i think i'll be quite good at this :)

    Strum pattern I'm using is:

    D UDU - it's kinda in 6 so it's strumming on the 1 (miss 2 3) 4 5 6

But you can use many different strumming patterns, that's just what I use...

    Take care y'all
