I would say London just edges New York because it has a longer history, and therefore a more varied architecture. Both are great, but there is nowhere like London.
the buildings seem to have more architecture to them as well. there are a few new buildings being built in london. If you look at the shard london bridge building the architectural in that is amazing. From what ive heard from friends and family who have been to new york id agree, London has an edge. o and just another thing is, new york's buildings are to high; if you have a flat your view is another building, in London your view is spectacular.
London ranks low in international liveability comparisons, consistently below top 20. [sources: The Economist's World's Most Livable Cities; Mercer's City Rankings; Monocle's Most Livable Cities Index]. It is ranked below several German, Swiss, Australian, Canadian and many other cities.
London is only good for visitors and rich people, not for the struggling ordinary London folks.
@sailechz All the cities that are ranked top 30 are small cities with very little population compared to London. The greatest cities in the world are NY and London, in liveable ranking list London ranked 39th that beats NY in 48th position worldwide. Property markets in cities like Tokyo, Moscow especially in London and NY are tremendously competitive, very expensive rent and everything is more expensive. So do not expect these cities to be ranked among top 30, they simply will not be ranked.
@sailechz Lol, where did you come up with that? Its been made officially a rank of every important city in the world so they can name a world capital and London came won, they said NY was the world capital of 20 century and London of 21st. If you want ill sent you a site where you can read the article.
