  • The background song "Stand Up" on this video is now available for purchase at iTunes in the USA! Look for it by searching for "Stand Up" and "Sean Chapin". Proceeds from this song will be donated to the National Center for Lesbian Rights. Check it out!

  • Same-sex couples can form a loving, respectful bond and mutual understanding. They can adopt children and raise a healthy child. Many religious faiths have embraced same-sex couples. What same-sex couples need is a civil marriage recognized by the Government so they can protect their families. A happy, productive family can contribute to society. That is a good thing.

  • A question.. If LGBT marries are accepted and made legal in all 50 states, would those of you protesting in favor of it, also protest in favor of polygamy?? One man, several wives, or one wife, several men.. Or any combination of couples that you can come up with??

All are consenting adults, and their rights should be heard as well as yours.. Correct??

  • That question is easy to answer. The only main subject people here are talking about is same-sex marriage. There is no need to delve into other serious issues. Just stick to the subject at hand, nothing more-nothing less.

  • Thanks for all the negatives.. But I really think it's a valid question.. If you are willing to fight for your own definition of marriage, are you willing to fight for others to have the same rights?? Or has your own personal ethic decided that "that" form of marriage is wrong and should not be allowed??

  • Feydakyn, thanks for the comment. But I believe I wasn't trying to be negative... You see, I as an individual have many social causes that I support. Same-sex marriage is one of those causes that I support and still do. At the moment I never gave thought to polygamy marriages because thats not one of my issues... Anyways, most of the gay and lesbian couples I know can't even get married, so I want there freedom to marry be recognized. Same-sex marriage doesn't harm me or society.

  • I encourage everyone to post myspace bulletins or facebook notifications of this video. Let's spread the word and make this HUGE!

  • The 2% homosexual movement will be the catapult that launches America off the cliff. Why don't all you like minded people (gay) move to a place that excepts and promotes your life style. Try Amsterdam. Leave America to the 98% that want nothing to do with the rest of you before you succeed in destroying this country and turning it into the armpit of the world (like Amsterdam).

  • Thanks for your comment daddaddaddy. If I could ask, do you have anything against gay people?

  • I have nothing against gay people. I hate what the 'extremist gay community' is dong to our society. Like minded people such as them have taken mere words and changed their meaning to suit the rhetoric they promote, ie 'Homophobic'. I'm not AFRAID of gay people but I do fear the results of that lifestyle being thrust into this county.

  • Thanks for responding. I think what gay people are looking for is to be treated legally like everyone else and have the same rights in our country, and I can understand the anger that comes from being treated worse than others. To me, I think the only difference between straight and gay people is what goes on in the bedroom, and we are all the same otherwise. What do you mean by the lifestyle that you talk about in your comment?

  • Why don't you move someplace where they let religious extremists make the laws on a regular basis? I hear Iran is nice this time of year if you're into theocracy.

  • Well, actually the only religious law that we really do have is the freedom to religion, and the government can not adopt a religion per the Bill of Rights. And I don't think that the rights we are fighting for to be treated equally as everyone else are extreme, as I would think everyone would want to be equal. I also believe that diversity is wonderful and helps us all evolve as a society, and our country will most likely thrive with it, not fall. What do you think?

  • And with this comment you've proved how little you know about the legal system of the United States. Congratulations on upholding the great stereotype of American ignorance.

  • America is NOT based on religious laws, but rather religious freedom.

If it is based on religious laws, then America was a failure from the start.

  • I know every country and people on this planet have had faults, errors and hard times, but if history teaches us anything it teaches us that 100% of all countries that have excepted the homosexual lifestyle as part of the norm have quickly meet their demise. Unless of course you are one of those that would rather rewrite history to fit your world view.

  • What countries have failed 100% do to homosexuality???

  • nicely organized video also. Thanks for the info... and a cool song.

  • Love this video! I didn't protest last time, (I honestly didn't expect many people to.) But I'm totally going to be in Chicago this January 10th. It'll be the biggest gay rights rally EVER!
