Never seen this edit before, very cool. Also loving the use of a less well known Cure track. Some of the footage looks familiar, from Attack, i think, which itself included recycled Public Domain / Ban This footage? If memory serves there was a track in one of those videos, ( set to one of the slo - mo street montages ), which always sounded to me like a cover ( albeit instrumental ) of a Cure song, wish I could remember the title now. Nice to see that link solidified here. More info anyone?

Using Torture by The Cure really helps make this video work. Plus it sounds like they added psychedelic phasing to it, in keeping with Powell's trademark surrealism.
