You did this one perfectly man! Maybe throw in a few more improv fills in some silent areas or long held out notes in the melody. I know that maybe you wanted to keep it strictly to the song's track, but sometimes drum covers need to show what kind of drummer you are. Great job! I love the mirror in the room too..i may use that idea for the next remodel of my drum room! :)

I really wanted to keep this vid as close to the song as possible, i find it harder to play every nuance of a song rather than just PLAY over it.

I have done a couple of videos which ive done a bit of improv, but have been blocked on here for copyright!!

@jmotter92 - both my rack toms are the same depth and are quite shallow which i love, i hate having the racks to high, and i like a 20inch bass drum. I love the broken glass finish aswel, looks timeless!

How you finding your SJC kit?

@leeboi6858 I like it a lot. I actually got the kit used for a little under a thousand dollars. I had a Pearl Masters which was BEAST, but unfortunately that kit was under a foot and a half of water because of severe rain. I had only had the kit for a couple months too! :( I actually didn't care if it was SJC or not, I just wanted an all maple kit. Fortunately, I found the kit and I really like it. But DW is just THE drum company. Haha. :)

@leeboi6858 The finish is called "Brown Canyon" with all brass hardware. Its basically like brown marble or granite. It is certainly different. Haha. And yeah it sure was a bummer about the pearl.

I only used 1 kick drum mic, and 1 room mic to record this because i havnt quite got to grips with my new mixer. But i have those mics going into a yamaha usb mixer, into cubase, and just tweaking the levels to make sure neither the track or the drums are to loud or quiet. Theres no effects or compression, its just purely the sound of my drums. Anyway, hope that helps, Leigh.
