  • Peace is the only way forward, with the fight from both sides, it is only just strengthening the border.

Violence isn't good for anyone, it has and still continues to make a mess of Ireland and its people, wake up people!

And if you claim to fight for religion as well, then you are as corrupt as the Taliban with the way many go about it.

Catholicism and Protestantism is both Christianity, the Lord wants peace, and breaking apart from one another makes us weak.

    forgive and forget.

    Peace.

  • @95jjs fuck off

    Peace.

  • @WizardFenian Ahhh, I love your skill of seeing other point of views and your ignorance :), no wonder the world is in such a great state because of people such as you who are common in todays society.

  • @95jjs thats a good response im just saying your pointing out things that dont need pointed out

  • @WizardFenian It needs pointing out, so that Ireland can finally have a chance of being united again, and to stop the ongoing violence in Ireland.

When I visit my family in Northern Ireland, every day there is somthing on the news involving people on each sides fighting

  • @95jjs ongoing violence? its as bad as anywhere else now but its all there just simmering. you pointing this out on youtube is not going to make anyone change their opinion. i think youre over exaggerating man. where you from??

  • @WizardFenian I'm not saying this to change anyone's mind, just making a point, I'm not trying to say that saying a comment on youtube will change everything at all, just stating out something.

And no-one should be judged on which country they come from or brought up.

  • @95jjs wouldn't call it judging so much as wariness and hatred not for the individual person but the people, if even the person does that i mean some people have had more happen to them than others or been brought up differently

  • @95jjs

    Usually just loyalist feuding.

  • Don't like that rock ending. Haha

  • The ending sounds very much like it could've been on Wings' "Red-Rose Speedway" album, doesn't it ?

  • Up The RA!!

  • @imtdsievu i'm sensing an awful lot of hatred in you. did the ra kill someone belonging to you or something? if not why the fuck would you view this video and start ranting? you're actually pretty sad if you have nothing better to do. this song is about the flying columns during the war of independence and the civil war. not about the troubles at all. would i view loyalist songs or vids and try to start arguments? not a chance. oh and learn how to spell you fucking clown

  • @Legionairius807 fuck up .goat boy.good to know your enemy.prick.

  • @Legionairius807 you have nothing better to do by replying, flying colums, more like the fucking flying pickets.ball bag.

  • @imtdsievu hahahahaha "it's good to know your enemy". you're after giving me a great laugh! do you realise how dumb you are making yourself look? i notice your spelling still hasn't improved either. there's an "n" in columns you clown. and you are after totally contradicting yourself and you probably don't even realise how you did. A middle aged man reduced to using obscenities such as "prick" and "goatboy" and "ball bag" because you were made look like a clown. WELL DONE. take care!!

  • long live the Wolfe Tones says the Italian Republican!!!

  • at least we're irish + northern irish + not muslim!!!!!! thats all that counts!!!!

  • @ninanightnurse You shouldnt be Irish for making a comment a stupid as that, FREE PALISTIEN! UPA RA

  • @gerardy345 Dude, this is Celtic music here. Take your Palestine somewhere else. I'm half Palestinian, half Lebanese, and couldn't care less about either country because I don't live there (or plan on living there. It's not as Jesus-friendly as it used to be). Now an Ireland-related comment would be much more appropriate.

  • I love this music by the Wolfe Tones. Although I also support Ireland in it's fight for freedom, we should pay a bit more attention to these Irish musicians. They help extend the understanding of the reason we fight, the 800 years we had to experience, and why they call us THE FIGHTING IRISH in the U.S.A.

  • Brits love to try and tell us Americans that we have no place to argue over this.. I'll let you in on something, most Irish-Americans identify with the culture of their immigrant ancestors more than they do with "American" culture. We may be raised in America, but our heart is with Ireland & it's people.

Plus, Americans historically hate the British, and love to kick their asses... Our solidarity is only natural.

    Up the RA!!!

  • @EireWarriorPoet you historically hate the british yet, youve fought in both world wars, both golf wars and in afganisatan with the british as your allies?

  • @windtalkersblah ah mate do u know anything about geopolitics?? of course the u.s fought side by side with the british. in europe britain is the main target of islamic extremism. that has absolutely nothing to do with the north of ireland. irish americans are irish to the core. did u ever hear a person claiming to be english-american?

  • @Legionairius807 still doesnt hide the fact you fought beside the british in both world wars, when there was no such thing as islamic extremism

  • @windtalkersblah the irish fought in ww1 because john redmund told the irish volunteers ireland would be granted home rule if we helped the british. the 1916 rising put an end to home rule and the irish challenged the brit's attempt to force conscription on us. As for ww2, We were officially neutral but some irish went to england to join the british army. and as for both gulf wars and afghanistan there were no irish soldiers on duty apart from a handful of irish rangers. get ur facts straight!

  • @Legionairius807 at no point did i mention the irish in this conversation i stated that the AMERICANS fought in both world wars on the british side, i know all about the irish because i was born and raised in Northern Ireland and the Royal Irish Recently returned from a tour in afganisatan a few months ago, i know, i watched the parade, and if i want to get my facts right, 38,000 Northern Irish enlisted during the second world war against 48,000 Irish Free State volounteers

  • @windtalkersblah

Are you on this video specifically to hate? That's just sad

  • @MacCeapaigh1916 no, he said about how america is anti british and crap like that, i was pointing out how it is not

  • freedom for ireland!

  • I love singing the rebs, not because i'm bitter, because it winds the huns up something shocking- and that's just funny : p hail hail!

  • @weejoelly fuck up you, ppl like you who misunderstand the purpose of irish folk songs, you think its a celtic connected situation, thats wrong, and i like singing them not to wind up THEM but to sing for the purpose of a united ireland.

  • @michaelceltic1967 What are you talking about? This is an Irish Rebel song, not a folk song, it's a completely different genre of music. And don't talk to me about wanting a United Ireland. You have to do more than mumble a few rebs when you're pished to see it happen. It's about what you do, not what you sing, or who you sing it to.

  • I'm irish, so this means alot to me.

  • @somervillain good man! (and thats 100% not sarcastic)

  • @LarryFogarty Its amazing isn't it, 90 years ago, 3000 men took on the most powerful empire that the world has ever known......... and WON !!!

  • @defiant1111 sin ceart

  • @defiant1111 Yup,good old Freud was right....There is no point in analyzing the Irish, they just wont take it...xD

  • @defiant1111 yeah, and just 90 years later, the Irish revert to their spineless, cowardly ways and open the queen with open arms. Wow. It took an especially meek and cowardly people to remain under slave like domination for 8 centuries, thats for sure.

  • @ElRancholo2 the queen didnt come to the north because she wuda been shot r at least targeted by the real or onh and were not cowards over ere every generation has rose up and fought the british occupation at the height of the troubles the provos had about 400 r 500 men on active service and prob 2000 helping out and the mighty british empire cud not defeat them albeit there was no winners only losers the working class on both sides suffered badly and still continue to suffer to this day

  • @ElRancholo2 oh no about 200 yards away there was about 2000 people rioting with signs saying fuck the queen bwe were trying to get a good relationship with englandand how were we cowardly we got the south back and had a full war with england but your probly some 10 year old who wouldnt know shit

  • IRELAND SPENT €79MILLION LAST YEAR TO HOUSE 6,000 ASYLUM SEEKERS

Officials admitted the true cost could be €158million in one year, they said education, social welfare, and health will also have to paid for and are not included in that cost.

Meanwhile our own Irish ppl - cancer patients, disabled ppl, respite care for seriously ill children who need 10million a year in Leinster - are deprived healthcare. Africans and Arabs come here, using our resources, not giving a damn how it affects us.

  • The Wolfe Tones wouldn't play gigs in the North during the troubles. A bunch of money grabbing fire side rebels I say!!

  • I BLAME THE FUKIN SOUTH FOR US LOSING THE NORTH TO THE FUKIN BRITS UP THE INLA

  • @bobby1978ism YOU! are a fucking cock! inla (doesnt deserve capilals) NOB!

  • bobby1978ism YOU! are a fucking cock! inla (doesnt deserve capilals) NOB!

  • When all the counties were offer their independence from England. Ulster County wanted to remain under England. When people quote facts. Kindly! Quote them correctly. Please, don't forget how Bernadette Devlin took tons of money from Ulster County, when she was touring America. Songs are songs, and aren't meant to be taken seriously. PEACE IS WHAT YOU CAN GIVE TO ALL.

  • @ladywillpwr Ulster isn't a county and Ireland didn't gain independence from England. I think you might need to go and read a few books.

  • @Stubhoy1977 No Ulster is a province in Ireland & 2/3's of it are still under british occupation. Thankfully that situation shouldn't last 2 much longer as irish catholics will soon be in the majority & simply vote themselves out of the union as per the terms of the GFA. And the last I checked, Ireland did gain independence from England when we won the Anglo-irish war. I think its you that should read a few books Mo Chara

  • @borledx Why not read what I actually wrote?

I said that Ulster isn't a country and it isn't.

I also said that Ireland didn't gain independence from England, it didn't. The 26 counties gained independence from what was classified as Great Britain and Ireland, not England.

As for winning the Anglo-Irish war to gain independence, well to be brutally honest you've just made that up.

  • @Stubhoy1977 Cut out the BS, we all know that Eng calls the shots in "GB". And how did u come 2 the conclusion I made the part about Brit losing the anglo-irish war in the 26 Co's up. The last time i checked, i lived in a Rep & theres not 1 brit soldier here & Brit has no say whatsoever in anything the ROI decides to do. I'd call that full independence mo chara. BTW, your right Ulster isn't a country, but those silly unionists will insist on calling it 1, 4getting of course Ulster has 9 Co's

  • @borledx Regardless of which of the constituent parts held most power independence wasn't gained from England. That is fact.

Tell me more about this "Anglo-Irish war" that was won to gain independence. What book can I read to find out more about the war that Ireland won against Britain yet only freed 26 counties from British rule?

  • @Stubhoy1977 Well granted it wasn't a full victory, considering Eng retained 20% of our territory. That aside, the IRa most certainly came out the better of it. We regained 80% of our territory & with regards the other 20%, the PIRA hav managed 2 negotiate a treaty which all but assures a 32 county Rep in the near future as the demographics have been swinging towards a nat majority 4 the last 50 years & the GFA guarantess a referendum on reunification just as soon as SF want 1

  • @borledx It wasn't a "full victory" because Ireland didn't win any 'Anglo-Irish war'. My username should give at least an inkling as to my feelings on Ireland but you've just made stuff up.

As for the percentages when a referendum happens you are coming to a lot of assumptions. In the 2010 UK general election the Nationalist parties (SF and SDLP) got 42% of the vote, in 2005 they got 41.8%, in 2001 they got 42.7%, in 1997 they got 40.2%. What percentage of the OSC are required to vote yes?

  • @Stubhoy1977 If Ireland didn't win, then how r we a Rep today. We do as we please & Brit has no say in the matter. If thats not independence then what is? The fact is the IRA forced a treaty that ended brit rule in the 26 co's. We certainly got the lions share.

As for the 6 Co's, check the NI census, the prod pop has been shrinking for 50 years while the nat pop expands. 51% is all thats required 4 reunification. BTW, SF received more votes in de last election than any other party in NI

  • @borledx

"If Ireland didn't win, then how r we a Rep today."

that's the point! not all of Ireland is a republic today! 20% is still in the hands of the British so until that's been reclaimed, no one has won. even if the british owned 1% of Eire then Ireland still haven't won!

  • @NormbrettaMod As i said it wasn't the total victory we wud hav liked, but we booted brit out of 80% of our country & defintely came out the better of that phase of the conflict. & even then, the Brit Govt was crying about irish terrorists. Mark my words, in the end Brit will pull out of the 6 Co's, still crying terrorists.

"It is not those who can inflict the most, but those that can suffer the most who will conquer." Terence MacSwiney. We''ll conquer because we r willing 2 suffer de most

  • @NormbrettaMod 26 out of 32 is still a victory nonetheless.

  • @KungfuCow5

    ALMOST a victory.

  • @NormbrettaMod Still more victory than you had. Lloyd George was forced to give up, part;y because he thought the IRA's armed campaign could last many years and partly because King George (the something, V I think) demanded he leave ireland because of the atrocities done by the British Army and the Tans.

  • @KungfuCow5

look i'm not on the irish OR british side here; i'm not trying to make my own country look good by saying you didn't win, i'm only saying you either win or you don't. since the initial aim of the revolution was to liberate all of ireland, and that DIDN'T happen, you will only have a victory once the rest of ireland has been reclaimed. you can't have "almost a victory" or "more of a victory"...i'm not saying you've lost but rather that the struggle isn't over yet.

  • @NormbrettaMod I suggest you study history analytically before making a less than thought out review of it.

  • @KungfuCow5

what exactly do i have wrong? can you explain?

  • @NormbrettaMod GO FUCK YOURSELF NORMCAUSE` IM IRISH AND IM IRISH AND FUCKING PROUD

TIOCFAIDH AR LA AGUS ANSIN BEIDH SASANA AMACH AS AN TALAMH EIRE !!!!!!!

  • @TheKane368

i never said you weren't irish? and i never said you're not proud of being irish...?

  • @NormbrettaMod will u fack aff and stop actin an edjit ya fuckin header upthere ;)

  • @NormbrettaMod The IRAs armed struggled ddn get wat they firstly aimed to set out which was a united Ireland but the things that it gety was Equal rights for catholics (who before the IRA stood up wer treated like 3rd class citizens) without the IRAs struggle Protestants wud stil think that they cud treat catholics the way they did back then!! Moreover, did the British gain wat they originally set out to do??? NOOO i dont think so, the IRA killed more british personnel than got killed TAL

  • @borledx If Ireland 'won' this 'Anglo-Irish' war that you are going on about then why are 6 counties still under British rule?

Are you sure that only 51% of a referendum would be enough? Can you back that up?

  • @Stubhoy1977 I already answered that Q below, it wasn't total victory but the IRA certainly came out the better of it. A few farm boys put an ass whopping on what "was" the most powerful country in the world. Brit was pushed out of 80% of Ireland & is well on its way 2 being pushed out of the other 20% today

( although i suspect theyd like nothing better than 2 get out of the 6 co's as soon as poss at this stage)

Im sure about the 51% because i read the agreement which is available online

  • @borledx I'm sure you'll have no problem posting a link for it then....

You're history revisionism is pretty funny.

  • @Stubhoy1977 Why dont you google it you lazy cunt. Do you want me to wipe your arse for you as well. Anyway you cant post links on YT even if i wanted to.

  • @ladywillpwr no the british offered collins the provinces in the south or a continuation to the war so he took the peace. Then later the north voted to stay.

  • @superdubman999 BS, neither Tyrone or Fermanagh which had nat majorities wanted any part of the union. They were forced into it. NOt only that, it was a trick by the brits. The border commision proposed by the brits lead collins to believe that West Derry, South Armagh, Tyrone, Fermanagh & south down would all b returned 2 the free state. But of course the churchill & LG needed unionist votes for his coalition in WM & stabbed the irish in the back as they have always done throughout history.
