Do you actually just sit there pressing samples in mixmeister whilst the mix is playing, I'd suggest you use Ableton live and buy a cheap midi controller....

@lucpallot Don't think you get it bro. You can live drop a sample any time you like an mmf will time it up for you. This vid was just to show its possible. Everything in the left column is library. right side is play list. bottom is time line. MMF is so good at time matching that it even manages scratches. Thats the point. Not the samples. The program itself.

@andywarwick001 I know, I use mixmeister as well, I'm not saying you're wrong I'm just saying it seems like a lot of effort if you're using the software like this in perhaps a live performance, when anything like ableton can do this to in much simpler way, plus a million of other things.

Hi Andy....i recently sold my turntables as records were becoming too expensive!

Would this software allow me to simply mix two dance cds together? Is there an option on the software to have two virtual turntables i can mess about with?

I simply want something to replace my turntables. Would this software be ideal?

Yup.rip the CD's, let it assign a BPM setting to it, and you're ready to go..

but virtual dj has two virtual decks

also acid pro 7 seems to be pretty good for mixin and ableton live there u can have inconstant bpms and still mix search for wraping if u choose ableton

As someone thats on MMF everyday and can mix on decks I think its really important that Mix Meister fusion isn't categorized like that. It is a completely different approach to mixing and the end result is completely different. Mixmeister gives you the ability to do things that are impossible on decks. Likewise Decs give you a whole heap of things that no software ever can. The difference is Mixmeister is not just goo live. It remembers what u do so u can edit produce off it.

Mate its taken alot of hunting searching and digging to get all my samples. I have posted a video on here teaching you how to get pretty much anything for free. Alternately u can buy them from me.I'd simply fill up a dvd and save em as mp3's u choose what everss easiest n pm me

Outside of that theres Tractor that too is based on virtual Decks. MixMeister is more like sequencer style mixing and although in my opinion the finished product is a better quality item than the two previously mentioned it would mean mixing in a completely different way than you are used too. Of course I can help ya out mate its reasonably straight forward.

Once you have finished your mix and your happy with it play it back through and makesure the bouncing bar on the bottom right hand side of the screen dose not bounce over the 0 mark when playing. You dont want it to be too low either so make sure its peak is 0 through the whole mix or it will be really quiet...

...Now select the file menu (top right) then select export playlist to file.

Now you'll see a box that looks like a typical save box just makesure the format is 320 to keep you quality to a max and select what you want it saved as wav or MP3 you can even check the box to make it split it into indevidual tracks each with its own file name. Enjoy and take care ACW.

on top, right corner, u see 2 icons, one of them is export to a file or hardware device.

click that.

clock Export my playlist to one or more files, OK.

then, give ur mix a name, choose the output u want, MP3 in ur case. and choose format.

192kb or above should be fine. best is 320kb.

and save your file.

its that simple!
