hey guys i wondered if anyone can help me,i keep getting my ass kicked by my friend who plays with lili, anyone got any tips and tricks to help me with this? if so what character?
@billy6668 Does your friend keep using the same move? If so, if so you can easily learn to counter them, parry them, duck under them, wait until the move is complete so you can grab. If your friend isn't spamming, you basically just need to get better at Tekken 6 :P
@billy6668 sorry for the late reply and u might alrdy know this, but lili is a famous character and is known for soo many move, and most of her moves, focuses on mid/high, so if ur in a bad position, just block mid/high and you should be fine, after the combo she is giving, do a crush and go gangsta on her, hope this helped
this has already been incredibly helpful, i always thought teching a throw was a crap shoot and you just had to luckily be pressing the button to get out of it but thanks to you guys i now know what to look for.
@MrCorndogEater Yes sure ...today i was playing(online mode) with yoshi and my opponent was lars... he did to me 15 grabs and i ate all of them xD... (we had bar 5) I couldn't see which hand comes first.. :\
@ReiVen741 Practice makes perfect. I don't see how it is possible to eat 15 grabs, this makes me think you must be partially blind or that you can't tell your left from your right.
these vids look so helpfull.. its 2am and im here watchin it but too sleepy!lol theres alota stuff in here i didnt know im sure after watching these vids ill b way better! thanks for the vids dude
@CraigBarduk lol :D yeah , i dont know how i managed to do that but i actually saw that one coming lol :D them both going like "so whats the escape?"and looking at the dude and the dude goes "theres no escaape ":D hilarious
@sprinter223 Always play these fighting games with an arcade stick. It helps a lot in movement, attacking, and grabbing. Quite difficult to do most moves when you're limited to a thumb for 4 buttons.
Breaking grabs is very difficult at the start. I still don't have it down to perfection yet but I am getting better at it. The way I learned is through practice mode. Learning while fighting someone is to difficult when you are first learning. Go to practice mode place the settings on defense training this pulls up the person you chose to practice against move list. Pick a few of there throws and and place the interval speed on normal or slow for beginners. For more help add me on PS3. Jay_ReL.
Tekken is indeed the most pad friendly game there is. Pulling off button combinations with shortcuts... and. So cute.
I take these guys seriously, but I'd love to see them using sticks instead of pads. Doesn't really affect the credibility, but I'm a cunt when it comes to elitist shit like that.
@Nickyx100 I'd advice people to learn their characters well enough to not watch their own characters movements first, that way they can focus solely on the opponent which makes it easier to break those grabs since you have all the time to watch the arms and legs of the opponent. Other than that, I agree. By the way, does it also take ages to find an opponent online on the Xbox? XD
i play kof98 on a very good level.........and just started playing br recently am using king for my character and have beaten some good players just by using my kof skills......but i dont know about moves of my opponents......is there any character specefic video where i can see the command as well as the animation of moves.....tht wud be a good help to learn tekken quickly......
LevelUp Guys, there's a new universal Right Hook that tracks both sides. The command is ub_u_uf+2, is a Homing Right Hook, its doesn't have any effects on CHit, but its quite fast for catching closed side stepping opponents. Some characters have this Punch.
No. If they do a 1+3 grab it's a 1 break. 2+4 grab is 2 break. 1+2 grab is a double break (1+2). The grabs may mix up like 2+3, but it's still a 2 break. You can actually know which break it is by watching which arm the fighter uses to grab with. Left arm first is 1 break. right arm first is 2 break. Both arms is a double break.
@0kamanuki hmm. we have similar names. but anyway i have to say i agree with you completely. it took 6 tekkens and a tag for someone to finally make a indepth video. but it's very much appreciated. i actually learned from even the 1st vid.
These videos are a great help. I've been playing since Tekken 1 and reading the zaibatsu, but I've never seen such straightforward explanation! For isntance, I didn't realize the left vs right throws looked different and could be observed to help escape - thought it was just a guessing game!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
guys, there's an escape for backgrab in t6. i've done it before and my opponents also done it many times in the arcade. not sure how but def. breakable.
this stuff is great. I have played tekken for years and am a decent player but never really learned all the specifics so this helps alot. thanks and please keep it up
This is awesome. I have yet to play this game. I'm glad I seen this footage, cause this look a lot better than people have been saying. At least in this video it does.
The info in this vid about long range throws (f+1+3 or f+2+4) tracking seems to be false. In practise they seem to track perfectly in both directions.
It tracks a bit better in their respected directions, though it's not like Tekken DR where forward throws tracked both ways no matter, you'll see people stepping them occasionally in the Tekken 6 series.
The ACTUAL notation for escaping an arm bar is 1+2, 2x4 (RP four times). Now... if you're escaping an arm bar with a character that POSSESSES an arm bar themselves, you can use this technique to ESCAPE the arm bar but then also have the option to REVERSE said arm bar.
The notion for an arm bar REVERSE is 1+2, 2x7 (RP seven times). Another note, the initial input of the 1+2, must be input earlier in the arm bar's animation so that the final 7th 2(RP) input reaches it end EXACTLY where the end of a full arm bar escape would reach it's 4th 2(RP) input. And fyi, it results in 15pts damage to your opponent.

notice the ticking sound of the buttons being pressed, it is the sound an arcade stick controller , not a dual shock controller
they are using an arcade stick to play the game but on screen they just show the ps3 controller

how we know what kind of grabbing his using???all the grabbing style looks the same....anyone teach me how?
PingMast 1 year ago
look at the arms
for a 1+3 grab the left arm is extended ( both 1 and 3 correspond to left limbs )
for 2+4 the right arm
for 1+2 grabs both hand come out at the same time
as far as i am aware the only character specific grab is GS (giant swing) which has the 1+2 animation but is a 1 to break it
theosthebest 1 year ago
Follow the videos instructions first, later then make
use of those instructions you learn execute them in
the game. If you can't always reverse those grappling
moves i suggest that you play more Tekken 6 online
with People you will be able to read their grapple
moves gradually. It's hard to observe what are the
grapple moves are while you're fighting.
