Caught them in concert November 1978 Columbus, GA, they were recording the live album "Some Enchanted Evening"...earlier that year one of the trucks carrying their gear went off a bridge into the Chattahoochie River, killing the driver, and delaying the tour.
Alas, no video can capture the magic as the lasers hit that mirror ball. Their intensity lit the arena with thousands of shafts of light, all so intense as they lit up the smoke-filled room that they seemed to have mass, like you could reach out and grab them. Watching them dance around the arena like so many stars was Astronomy.
I saw BOC on this tour (Spectres) back in '78. My favorite concert of all time! They had a quadrophonic PA system set up on all 4 corners of the hall. Buck Dharma makes the guitar SING!
This is what a guitar solo is supposed to sound like.If it weren't for BOC and Rush i might have never even tried to play.Great version...sounds a lot like the "Some enchanted evening"version although my ears aren't that good.Thanks for posting.

Awesome. To get this quality video from the time we're talking about... I saw them three times from 76-78 alone. This is fabulous! Excellent!

What really makes me feel old is that when this show was recorded, the laser was a very new toy for a concert. uggg

@Delmarblues46
Not the same exact version, I don't think. However, IIRC, it is the same tour, so the arrangement was the same.
Such a killer rendition.
