  • also I must say, that pig hosting the video looks pretty damn tasty.

  • Is anyone out there spouting off that human's are solely carnivorous?

We are omnivores, just like many animals, including you, mister pig, as well as many birds, bears, and fish too. This high and mighty dross is just that...dross. People didn't always farm commercially, so don't hate on the majority of the human race for all arriving at pretty much the same conclusion: that meat is a logical and tasty solution to sustaining one's existence.

  • FANTASTIC! I absolutely love this video!

  • @Merlintothemax you are correct in your statement of having been natural meat eaters but one it is properly termed omnivorous, and secondly it was not so much constrained to the genus homo but more of the ape family itself, but not being a biologist you could be right on the genus Homo, made this in haste if i am wrong on that then i apologize. i recently did comedy pwn of this video it was so silly itself i had to make it sillier lol.

  • awsom!

  • Nice video, valid arguments. Only the beginning, where he shows the teeth of carnivores. I assume it's a bear (as it looks a tiny bit as a bear) left under. But bears are primary known as herbivores, or omnivores. Unless it resembles a polar bear...

Oh, and the pig is biased.

  • Luv the vid! Go veggie.

  • Ok, mr oink. Humans haven't been eating meat for 'centuries', it started back when we were all neanderthals, hunting mammoths with spears and driving horses off cliffs to collect the meat at the bottom. And your arguments are null - humans are not herbivores or carnivores, we are omnivores. That is why comparing us to animals like wolves is pointless.

  • Someone seriously needs to study history ^___^ Meat is a very recent thing for the majority of the population. You're trying to compare hundreds of thousands of years ago to actual relevant history (its like saying that a dog is a wolf because they once were wolves. Oh, we weren't neanderthals, either, they were a different species that we drove to extinction) Through history only the highest levels of society could have meat. Obesity, heart disease, diabetes and cancer were "rich mens diseases"

  • You're obviously biased. You know nothing about how wrong this video is.

  • Do you know what helps reduce heart attacks and strokes in a population. People dying of malnutrition and 8 years of age!

  • We are omniverous, and so are chimps as despite the animation. Meat was very important in the development of human intelligence as a source of protein and energy for our energy expensive brain tissue.

  • Protein isn't found in the brain, and the fuel of the brain is NOT protein, its carbohydrates. (protein has nothing to do with brain development, it physically CAN'T) If protein is the source of our "intelligence" why aren't carnivores far more advanced than we are?

  • lets run an experiment and deprive a child of protein and see what does that does to neurodevelopement.... actually we know what would happen. so need to be so cruel .... a little knowledge is dangerous u demonstrate this. Yes carbs (actually only glucose) is used as the brains fuel (but can use fat as well) but all organs need protein and is found in every cell in the body including your brain cell.

  • BWAHAHAHAHA brutal. Do you practice your ignorance, or does it simply come naturally? "Standard" North American diets have 4x the amount of protein needed. ALL food has protein. And if you aren't into beans, nuts and seeds, or any of the complete protein plants, then you're getting amino acids (and the resulting HEALTHY amount of protein) in fruits and vegetables. Unless you are STARVING a child , they will not be "deprived". In fact, with the obesity epidemic, I think you've got an EPIC FAIL.

  • wow. there are a lot of hateful people voicing their opinions here. i love the video.

  • @backwoodsmister Go choke in your fucking burger, flesh eating sadistic fag. Learn to accept that all persons are different. That also means: some eat meat, some do not.

If you're the one who judge others by that fact, it's you that need to grow up and open your fucking eyes. Maybe than you can share your "meaning". No one made you watch this video. Go and look up some videos where they tear animals apart, if you like that better.

  • Two words: ignorant person.

  • cool video. kinda boring but *** stars

  • I just ate a baby.

  • This video rocks! It was hillarious! Enjoy a healthy non-corpse eating diet!

check out TheChinaStudy dot com an awesome book that is backed up well by 27 years+ of research.

  • 'dude everything you just said in your last 4 posts is complete and utter lies!! ...'

Whoa, you totally proved all my points totally and scientifically wrong. I also admire your debating skills and social intelligence for such witty remarks.

  • And LOL, eating meat is like tobacco? It kills you?

Do a little study in biology, any species that specialize in one sort of food, *Cough* Plants *Cough* will be 100% more likely and fastly to go extinct.

  • dude everything you just said in your last 4 posts is complete and utter lies!! where are you getting this crap, humans have never repeat NEVER had jaws and claws like your saying (even 50 thousand years ago), oh and "btw" chimpansees may eat meat but its like only 4% of there total diet, dam ignorance just pisses me off

  • Plants is a general category, not a single sort of food. Idiot.

  • Lastly Im actually against the multislaughter of animals to serve as food, its far more than we eat.

Then when the date expires we sell it for lower prices and lastly trow it away if we cant sell it...

Instead of sending them over to people who are literally starving in pain at this and all the next moments.

Maybe we who are self destructive and lost out of boredom and uselessnes should keep busy with things like that instead of specializing in eating plants.

  • But since we've 'advanced' in the last 50 thousand years into the 'Humans' that we are now, we no longer need strong teeth, jaws and strong claws to kill our food.

So our mouth and jaw among other things adjusted to this and they're more delicate for taste.

I read in a scientific article that in a thousand years from now our jaw will completely disapear since we will need to chew minimally while 'advancing'.

And btw, chimpansees also eat meat.

  • there was no 50,000 years ago.

  • @alexgersblog Before you start flaming, I first want to state that I'm a vegan... And that I mean no harm. But, humans existed 50,000 years ago.

Scientists estimate that the hominid lineage diverged from the ape lineage 5 to 8 million years ago. Homo sapiens, the species to which we belong, has existed for about 100,000 years.

  • I don't know who wrote that dumbass article. We can't evolve anymore, period. Why?

Evolution is when an animal has a mutation, and if the mutation somehow helps with survival, the animal will survive to pass on the genes through reproduction. If the mutation is bad for the animal, it won't survive well and won't pass on the bad genes. If a human is born with, say, blindness, an attribute that will leave an animal screwed, he/she will still survive to have babies and pass on the blindness genes.

  • After a recently veg friend told me about this video I was eager to be somewhat persuaded.

But the arguments arent really valid. For example its true that our teeth and jaw are now not sharply and strongly shaped like hookteeth etc, but they were back when we needed them to be; when we were hunters for survival.

  • omg Dan Piraro is awesome!!! He's so smart!!! I love his videos it helps a lot with being vegan!

  • i myself am not a vegan or a vegetarian, but this video does make some good arguments. although, to those herbivores out there, sorry guys, but i like meat too much to give it up. :P

  • Its obvious human beings aren't made to eat meat. Take a look at: Milton R. Mills, M.D., "The Comparative Anatomy of Eating".

  • this is a great little video. sometimes the vegetarian videos are just too scary and horrible for me to want to watch or put on my page. But i apreciate this one alot :-)

  • I love this video

  • Wow. I'm glad someone does. Thanks. ^_^ Dan Piraro is a genius.
