if you have stuck or dead pixel turn your lcd, ds or whatever on put it under bedspread or wrap it in a thick and wait for 2-3 days, worked for me on my lcd display and on the lcd of my nds lite, I don't know if it can damage the monitor because its getting very warm, I think if you put it in front of your radiator it should work too. Sry for my bad english:P iam a native german.

i got dead pixels on my camcorder randomly and i had turned it off for about 10 mins(there was 4) and now there is only 1 so i recommend if you have a cam and have the same problem as me just turn it off for a while and leave it.

yea you can fix a stuck pixel sometimes. i had green one on my 19" AOC and all i did is apply some pressure to it with my index finger and it went away :D but im not sure about a true dead pixel soz

i have a "dot" on the screen of my PSP, i don't know if its dirt, but i can also see it even if my psp is turned off. so are dead pixels only seen while the unit is on?

@CubaoBruceLee it's dirt. sometimes, dust can get inside the psp and work it's way to the screen. if you clearly see it when the screen is not on, then it is NOT a dead pixel. if it truly bothers you so much, see if you have a friend that has experience taking PSPs apart and putting them back together. I repair a lot of my friends' PSPs and clean them, too. But you have to be careful, cause if you aren't, you can really mess it up.

I had a screen with 5 of them, all red green and blue :P It looked really weird, but i was youngh back then, and my dad didn't know what it was, so we sent it back to the shop we got the screen from, and we got a new one! Now i have 2 or 3 DEAD pixels on my omnia (phone) but they are only noticeable when the screen is completely black, they are a little lighter than the rest of the screen.

i had a red pixel on my psp screen. it whas a stuck pixel. after changing the case of the psp i cleaned the screen with a paper napken, and it disapired. so... some phisical presure or vibration can do this. i didn't know about this, it whas purely by accident.

I do have a damn annoying problem.. In etc Counter-strike im getting some sort of black ------- on my screen (I dont know what to call it) that comes from the top on my screen and to the bottom, when im using v-sync, it will fade abit but its still annoying. its high temperature that causes the problem, just like for guys sperm count is lower when they wear tight pants or just like your car's radiator cracks and starts leaking the performance of your monitor depends on how cool you can keep it

I got a MacBook 30 days ago and it had 1 dead pixel. I took it back to the Apple store..and they were nice enough to replace the whole laptop with a brand new MacBook w/ no charge. They really didn't have to do that if they didn't want to though.

just to put this out there...if you have any discolored pixel's on an ipod touch, you can simply push hard againt the screen and they will go back to normal, i just did it and it works

A dead pixel is a defect. Objectively speaking, you would rather have another unit of the same product that does not have the dead pixel, you do not expect a dead pixel, and most people do not end up with defective units. It follows from this then that if you will pay the same price and gamble on a slightly defective product and hold no one to account if you receieve a sub-par unit, you deserve it. Up 2 u.

I have a pixel that i can only see on a black background. It changes colors depending on which angle you're looking at it from. It looks either red, purple-ish, or blue or white (I don't know if that's due to it being TN?) Anyway, I've tried everything on this and I don't really know what to do. Hey, I'm Nick Toohill, and I'll personally say that my video does work, And it only works for stuck pixels, but that doest mean that just since your pixel looks dead(black) it might not be. cause there is a difference between a Dead Pixel @ RGB(0,0,0) and a Stuck Pixel @ (1,1,1) so know that, you have nothing to loose. It worked on my friends that had 6 stuck in the middle of his screen and he still to this day will vouch for me and agree it works. and Rubbing the LCD does help, just be Careful!

My brand new NEC AccuSync 900 CRT has a dead pixel and a red dead pixel only when the screen is red around that area. Nec said they would take it back and reapair it, I told them I would just hold on to the thing. Its got a 4yr warranty anyway.

By applying a little bit of pressure on the surrounding space around a dead pixel, the dead pixel becomes activated. Ive done it myself, now and then it returns but repeat the same trick and it goes away. Tapping also works but personally i found that just by applying a small amount of pressure to the surrounding space directly near a dead pixel fixes it right up.

I tried UDPixel (think that was the name) it flashes solid colors to help you find a dead pixel. I don't know if the fix works because lucky me, I didn't find any on my Dell 1907FP (though I thought I would find a bunch by what I read about LCDs) so I couldn't try the fix.
