@hiten13 Multiples don't really matter. You might be able to find your SID with only 4, but you'll probably need a few more. The number required is different for everyone, and doesn't involve multiples of any number.

@TheJacoboPeralta Well, you would be able to find it, but you reset the game. Using that shiny will give you information about a file that no longer exists. Sorry.

I do all the progress correctly. i had my possiblities down to 2. But i add more pokemons and it doesnt fell to 1. What's happening. i have 5 shinies made by a chain and i cant take it to 1 possiblity

@24zinc24 Sometimes you need a few more shinies. I can't guarantee what number you need to make it fall to 1, but if it falls to 0 possibilities, you may want to check all the stats and try again.

@Berquet50 You could just level them up a LOT and keep track of IVs, but that's troublesome. I don't know what you should do, but the best choice would probably to bring it up to a high level and use EV reducing berries once there to clear EVs.

@SoLongGeyBoy As mentioned in the video, use the Dex/IV function on the RNG Reporter to figure out what ability is 0 or 1. You may also be able to find it on certain websites, though I'm not sure which.

@SoLongGeyBoy Nope. The other chained shiny will only give you data that is for the game it was caught on, not the game it is on. Chaining can be difficult, but at least it's better than looking for a random one.

@TheMsHerok Not really. You could find its IVs, but the way you do things in HG is to catch the Red Gyrados several times (no saving) to make it act as several chained shinies.

Hey, I double checked everything I did with my Red Gyarados. (Yes, Lake of Rage one) and used the Chain to SID method. Caught that fool 8 times, and double checked it all. And then grouped in different combinations of whatever results I got for my IVs and whatnot. My SID ended up being 48520, EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. And yet when I Pokesavved a pokemon with that SID into my game, it's still wrong. What's going on? Do you think you can help me out?

@MoosePowerable Well, the numbers don't lie. I don't have a video of RNG Abuse in HG/SS, and I don't use Pokesav, but I suggest trying HG/SS RNG Abuse to validate your SID.

@pokechao196 Ha, well, I just treat Pokesav like a pokemon maker (I'm sure you know that) and I wanted to verify if it was my correct SID through looking at its summary if it was  "caught here" or "apparently met."

@marvinnivram First off, it's not a chained shiny, so no. Another thing is that the shinies must be from the same game you're trying this in, because shinies will be different depending on what game it was caught in. So sadly, no you can't use it.

Ok, I'm using that MetalKid thing for the EVs and got the IVs for my shiny Absol when I entered the EVs for the Pokemon I versed. Now I'm trying my shiny Plusle and it hasn't been working. Do I enter the EVs granted by the wild Pokemon, like how Starly gives you 1 EV for Speed, or figure out the EP and enter that, like 4 EP for Speed from Starly?

To get the IVs of your Shiny Chained Pokemon, can you use Rare Candies to determine the EVs for each and reset the game and use those Rare Candies on each Pokemon until you get a list of EVs for levels they haven't gained yet (Due to the reset to apply the candies to other Pokemon) but would gain with Rare Candies added?

thank to this video i was able to find my sid for my platinum game with putting in the iv's of 4 of my chained shiny pokemon! so far i have only rng for 2 shiny pokemon for a while i tried to rng egg iv's but i gave that up! someday i may try to rng to get all shiny starter pokemon with a few good egg moves exsample is a totodile with dragon dance! so far i got a shiny blastoise with aqua ring to help heal it up faster with aqua ring + holding leftovers!

@UltraElectronicsTeam It means some of the info you put in is wrong. Make sure the IVs are exact, not averages or something. Gender and Gender Ratio are important too.

Well, given your Trainer ID, the results are reduced to about an infinite number of possibilities. You need a shiny.
