No one likes americans? why are poeple surprised by that. I'm from New Zealand and almost everyone from New Zealand/Australia/South Africa (Majority of the southern hemisphere) think that americans are arrogant, have self entitlement issues and are nasty awful people. Americans make fun of the Brits and the Brits make fun of the Americans. We poke at each other and said some funny yet nasty things. If its not the Brits poking fun at Americans on Big Brother its Americans poking fun at the Brits on shows like Family Guy. Shows like Idol, Weakest Link, Skins and The Office originated from the UK made a huge impact in America. US Shows such as Next Top Model, Jersey Shore, Law & Order, and Price is Right were adapted in the UK. Sheer entertainment either way!
Thing of it is, anytime I've seen an American on the show, they're been black stereotypes (Kairon, Dennis Rodman, Coolio, Sisqo) or L.A. types (Shannon Twins, Tracie Bingham, Tara Reid, Caprice) or boring (Dirk Benedict, Jermaine Jackson) or strange (Latoya, Verne Troyer, Jackie Stallone, Heidi Fleiss).
There's never been a root-able, pleasant, American housemate picked to go in there. And I 'liked' all of them!!

Not saying everyone in the UK hates Americans but they are not really liked .. Kind of over the top and us British think you don't fit in with us , we're not on the same levels on things e.g. humor
As an American I'm not sure how I feel about what has been said on this show the past few days ... I'm getting the feeling that there is some prejudice against Americans and than I think that there could also be some jealousy . I always thought the UK was a great country and I still do .. I just think this show is a small minority of the ppl and I'm sure there are many lovely ppl in the UK who actually like Americans .
