@jenna124 It's a soap called, As the World Turns, and is one of the top 3 longest running shows in TV history. It started in the mid-1950's and ran until 2010, airing 5 days a week.
"I know what you want. Have a seat and I'll bring it right over." Amazing how Jake make those two sentences sound so sexy! Both Luke and I wish he would indeed bring it over, and by it, we don't mean the coffee! :)
Whoa... this is where I REALLY appreciate Noah as an actor. I wouldn't be able to "cry" like that on camera without bursting into giggles every time. Every things quiet and you have a camera closing in on your face, and you gotta scrunch up and start balling? No way x3
argh *sniff* the look that noah gives at :47 is so completely adorable i want to cry.
and what luke tells noah at the end is the most amazing thing ever. he is so sweet and so genuine there; "i'm always gonna love you" omg *sniff* i like it when luke isn't being a jerk. and then when he stops himself from turning around, argh! he can be such a good kid lol
Jake did some great acting here. You can really see how much he's grown as an actor since his early days on ATWT.
Plot-wise, I again agree with NukeOakdale that Luke is pressuring Noah too much. Why is he forcing Noah to wallow in how horrible his father was? Noah knows that, but yes, his feelings are complicated. Noah isn't trying to "polish his father's image" to feel better about himself, he just wants to believe that there was some good in him. He needs time to accept that there wasn't.
Ok, theres one problem with your description-"You just had a really traumatic experience", Luke wasnt the one to blame...if anyhitng Luke helped Noah.
Ive only been flollwing them since i saw them on the show last year, and i think they could make it through those fights...if Luke keeps doing what hes doing, itll help.
I agree with you again, only I still think Noah loves Luke. I guess that's just a difference between our thoughts and so it will stay. Maybe we see the story (and Noah) a little bit differently or we see love a little bit differently or maybe we don't.
Well... thank you for the nice words :) I wish you love, too.
the one comment from fridays episode 27/06 that sticks in mind was when Carly reflected on being stupid. The problem with stupidity is that it can haunt a person for an entire lifetime.
I mostly agree with you, but I don't believe that guilt would be so powerful and eternal. You sound like Noah would be bounded with guilt for life, but I don't see it like this. I believe Noah can cut through those feelings.
And also I am completely sure Noah has never stayed with Luke for guilt, he does love Luke.
I simply see love stronger than guilt. After all, love's what everyone is yearning for (secretly if need be) and love is what creates guilt. I believe in love.
That was a sad episode, but it showed once again Van & Jake's talent.But... I'm starting to get enough of all the drama going on ! It seems like couples can't live happily in Soapsland, and especially in ATWT.
Win was a "winning" soldier and escape artist. He is alive! Just wait... When the boys are back together happy, there he will appear to interupt them!
And I am afraid you're right. It really starts to disturb me that this story is not likely to be an and-they-lived-happily-ever-after story.
Right now Luke and Noah have had unnormally hard time but actually I think this isn't so disastrous. If they stay together it makes their relationship one of the most strong and beautiful ones. But... It's really sad when two person's future is determined by the fact that they live in a soap.
i'm sorry but WAIT were supposed to believe that Win a man who was imprisoned for a long period of time not only escaped but managed to steal his dog tags back...this is BS... not only that but watching Nuke has become almost as frustrating as waiting for a train to crash because thats whats going to happen. They'll crash and burn and that makes me soo mad when they worked so hard to get to a point were they can be together no Crazy Colonel, Asinine Ameera... ugh
Please read my Video Description for rants on Van's shirts, the Oakdale police, Van's first Emmy loss and .... me being real tough on Luke. :(
=======
A song I used was Gloria Estefan's "Don't Wanna Lose You." It's applicable in couples counseling as well as coming out. The words could be sung by Luke as well as Noah.
ah yes, the fear as old as time. The fear that we have been tainted/corrupted by the evil/sins of our fathers. Okay, while Luke's approach may not be manual approved, it's not as harsh as I had expected from the notes. Well, at least now Noah's making something clear, rather than all this running around. Finally! Luke's distancing himself. Granted Noah's been giving some weird signals, but he should have said this ages ago. Now Noah can truly work this thing out and move on.
This was almost painful to watch, and made me cry. Because I have carried a torch the past 35 years for a guy I never got the chance to be with. And this undying devotion has severely affected all the friendships with other guys. Please Let 'LukeVanFan' Andy know about this as well, thanks.
