My first time doing Boston this year, and I can say without a doubt that I'll be back next year...next time I'll be 18 and within the USATF age groups!!! I thought I had seen some characters at other races, but there truly is nothing to compare Hopkinton, Massachusetts to on Patriots Day every April!

I can't say enough about the whole race, from a bandit perspective, absolutely everything was amazing...especially Wellesely and BC :D

Thanks for posting this, I missed the marathon this year. I usually stand at the top of heartbreak hill, that's where you see the runners really pumping the adrenaline.

I know for a fact the first 6 miles is pretty much downhill, then it's flat, then you hit heartbreak hill. :P

We go to a 5K every year in Carlsbad, Ca. It's billed as the fastest 5K because a fair amount of it is downhill. I never understood those that willingly pay, this year $50, to run 3 miles...
