The second installment was awesome, but the third one sucked.

is it me or Xianghua is the underrated fighter in Soul Calibur 4 when it comes to online?

I use her and Sueng Mina, and it's like everytime i fight someone online (360), 95% chance is that someone is going to pick a Cervantes, Kilik, Amy, or a Maxi ...and most of them are spammers!!!..

when i use Xianghua , i kick their asses, beautifully, but painfully, because Xianghua has a beautiful but unpredictable Sword fighting style..very tricky..not saying I'm the best, because i know better players

That was a great fight! The Xianghua player fought very well here! I just wish the Shura player had fought better. I like Shura's move at 0:58. Also, I love Xianghua's win animation at the end. Shura rocks! She's the best Soul Calibur IV bonus character, in my opinion. She's very fun to play as, and she's very hot, too! It would be great if Shura had her own style or Cervantes had Shura's dual katanas as one of his weapon choices! Oh, well. Anyway, thanks for posting this video, BifordusMaximus!

Soul Calibur 2 had the most horrible voice acting of the three, but that doesn't mean part 4 is anything wow either. My favorite voices for the characters( in english) are Ivy, Yun-Seong, Sophitia, Mi-Na and Tira's two voices ( i like how the other personality sounds so evil X3).

Sorry, this ain't a 2d fighter. The 360's analog stick is better than PS3's, and in this game Analog stick is a serious alternative to a DPad. With the 8wr and quarter circle inputs, analog is just as good if not better. At a competitive level you should be using an arcade stick anyway

Your decision shouldn't be based on this game alone. PS3 has better graphics (marginally) while X360 has a better online system (It costs money while PS3 is free. but you get what you pay for.

even though it had less to offer, Soul Calibur 2 had the most balanced gameplay. Not much to stand on but thats my reason for liking sc2 better than 3 and im sure im not alone on that one. there was no reason that astaroth should be as fast as taki in sc3.
