Odd, I have both a Mac and a PC, both from this generation and the only one to crash on me was the Mac.

I notice that everyone who says Macs crash more than pcs, is becuase you probaby don't know how to work a Mac. I've had a Mac for a long as I remember and they have never crashed once!

came to a shop last week. A MAC which I was looking hung in aproximately 3 minutes. With a nice message - hold the power button to restart. Well, yeah, this is more user friendly than blue sceen of death. But still... 3 minutes. Macs are impressive hardware, but I do not think that the software is good. like when I wanted to copy music from a friend's mac - we could not make a MAC to detect the external drive. I have never had such a problem on multiple PCs. On the first Mac - there it was.

The thing is that it can happen with ANY computer. As for PCs, I sometimes do not restart my laptop for months, with max non restart time close to 2,5 month (Win XP SP1), and it was working hard during those months.

keep your drivers and u wont restart/blue screen. (virus free of course) Also y is man advertising that they run windows stuff. shouldnt it be better if they got thier own programs?

the computer is 8 years old but ive been updating parts of it but its only at the level of a computer released like 2 years ago and i dont seem to have any troubles of having to "restart" nor is my computer slowing down

We just got new macs at the office and I've had to restart so much more often than I do with my 3 year old pc laptop. Restarts and "program had to close" messages with Preview, Safari, networking, and more are making using these macs time consuming and a total pain-and macs are more expensive. You'll be the stupid, ugly, fat, (put negative label here) person if you're dumb enough to believe these ads.

My computer's a mac that has never crashed and the slowest it's ever gone is maybe the speed of a cheetah on EPO. My aunt's windows is a slightly older one that is way slower and crashes all the time.

They don't crash, they just bombard you with problems for hours on end until they eventually decide to not do anything at all. You can click anything and it'll make it look like its going to do something, and it doesn't. My Mac, however, hasn't been turned off for a few weeks now because it hasn't presented me with a reason to.

My Pc has never crashed, and as it is my main media server, and PVR its says on 24/7, i havnt even updated windows in ages, have i got a virus no, spyware no, crashes no. seems like my pc is pretty stable ;)

LOL thats not so thruth, they both use office, and i have my pc and it never crashes using office, plus why mac never crashes??? maybe cuz all mac users do is listen to itunes and internet, USING FIREFOX!!!! my mac is always crashing! and if its not connected to the internet and it goes to sleep, it wont connect when it wakes up! it sucks =(

If you know how to look after a machine, it shouldn't crash, be it a PC or a Mac. But if Apple can capitalise on the huge market of idiots who can't keep a PC in reasonable working order, more power to them.

Dud! It's funny, it's an add! Of course it is going to lie a lot! PC's are good for some stuff and other stuff not so much. Same goes for the Macs! They each have their ups and downs. I use both at home and I do most stuff on my Mac but I game on my PC! I do have to admit though, the new gen Macs beat out anything PC has to offer presently.
