  • "There is much more in heaven and on earth than is dreamt of in your philosophy, Horatio"

    ( - Shakespeare )

  • There are many things we can't see: electromagnetism (w/ the exception of visible light), quarks(if you believe they exist), Dark Matter, Dark Energy, Cosmic Strings...All of those things can't be seen, yet are currently accepted by many scientists as really "existing"Same w/ what is referred to as the Spirit World.these will be one day referred to by science as something like "Extra dimensional, sentient,intelligent,consciousness-interactive, energy entities/energy forms.

  • Graham Hancock has a record of outstanding research, which his books are based on. Last year, visiting Glastonbury, his book, The Fingerprints of the Gods, was given to me. Since then, he is among my book favorites.

    Thanks, Regina, for this interview.

    Namaste!

  • I love this guy graham. I know what he means when he talks about the mother thing i had it happen in my fist trip

  • There is much more to this world then our eyes can see.

  • It amazes me the fervor with which people who claim to be scientifically minded apply them selves to douse claims that there is something that we can't see. It reminds me of Doctors and Scientists in the middle ages attributing disease and infections to spirits and humours instead of bacteria. Or how about all those in the 1300's that swore the world was flat?

  • @alphanumericchar open ure mind

  • @888starchild What about my post made you think that I was being closed minded? Perhaps you should re-read what I said.

  • I have attended lectures of his and met him personally. he is a very cool guy and I have followed his work for the last ten years... he also takes drugs with shamans and gets groovy and down with them which is also very interesting...

  • I personally have had intense "mystical" experiences with and without the use of "neurophramacological" substances. These expereinces have made my life brighter, more beautiful, and more meaningful. It is the enrichment of my life from these expereinces that is the important aspect of the expereinces to me, rather than the intellectual musings on what the source of these expereinces may, or may not be.

  • To quote a friend of mine, "The universe is a mystery wrapped up in an enigma." So really, for ANYONE to claim that they have the slightest CLUE as to how reality actually works is probably only setting themselves up to get humbled, and to get schooled.

  • Its also rather interesting to note, just how "META-PHYSICAL" the modern discoveries and trends in science are becoming. There are too many to list. But particularly, quantum physics, and especially the notion that it appears that the mind and consciouness itself somehow determines the outcome of the percieved physical reality. Get get much more "shamanic" than that! hmm?

  • The "spirit world"? Bah. It's called neuropharmacology, people, and it has a LOT more to offer in the way of understanding than shamanism. Just because someone purports to having a "religious" experience doesn't mean that's what's really happening. Why are so many people ignorant of scientific methodology and rigour?! Shamanism? Yeah, right.

  • Indigenous shamans have knowledge of the world around them the likes of which, our "pharmacology" companies don't have. They know the properties of the plants the live among. And interestingly, they say that the plants them selves taught them this knowledge while in the Spirit World that you are scoffing at. While that may not be proof of a spirit world, it is certainly proof that our understanding of the world is much deeper than people like you are willing to give it credit for.

  • Graham hancock is really great and Im grateful he is educating people on these matters. But he really hasnt done or said anything that Terence Mckenna didnt say 10-25 years ago. Same goes for daniel pinchbeck.

  • So the shamans get stoned and "enter the spirit world" hehe ...

  • No swoosh they don't get "stoned". You see that is the very ignorance that is fueling our youth and spreading it like a wildfire of disease. These people have ancient culture and "medicine" healing cermonies that have been well respected by scholars and scientists. Do some research before speaking..

  • Err, u stfu. I'm not dissing the shamans. i'm just saying that spirits, god, souls, heaven or hell don't REALLY exist. They're just inventions of smart people to control dumb people through belief, not fact.

But I do believe the shamans we're smart and capable men. I'd trust that shaman treatment over fake western medicine anyday.

  • are you gonna trust a guy like this with the future of your soul?

  • LOL,come on.He isn't claiming to be jesus...open your eye's.

  • i know he isn't claiming to be jesus. but what is he? how can you trust him?

  • Lancevigorous- Its not a matter of trusting Graham Hancock whatsoever... The shamanic approach is in having a first hand experience of God/Spirit rather than depending on an idea or philosophical musing. The Shaman finds out for him or herself about God. There is no middleman involved. If you want to know whether the shaman is full of shit or not, there is only one way to find out!.. But it takes enormous courage and maturity to stand naked before Spirit...

  • "there is only one way to find out!.."

you're just a zealot. you're just someone who has discovered these things and they're very exciting.

"there is only one way to find out!.."

you should like a baptist minister or something.

  • Guy is brilliant. Saw him live in NYC last night.

  • I love him, and his books!
