Started school August 28 and still have not received any money.!! I did however get the Emergency fund which still does not cover all that they owe me. I am in So Cal so that $3,000 check just taken out my debt. I don't have a job because of this new GI Bill, so now I have to worry about no money, school, and now I am moving back home because I can't afford this.

Starting Oct 2nd you can go to a regional office and receive up to $3000 advance payment. More info at gibill. va. gov

Finally the news at least starts picking up on this. The VA doesn't care. I still havent been paid for my summer class since I switched over. My cable and internet are off, I have to use the schools computer labs, my power is getting shut off next week, and I won't have rent unless they pay me. At least I can use my disability to get food n stuff. The shitty part is, others who were certified AFTER me got paid already. I am so proud I got fucked up by a mortar for this shithole country.

Fucking right. It's wasn't out of our own pockets, we signed a contract for this, the owe us this. It's called a contract with the US Government!
