I love the way Liza is quoting Shakespeare's Sonnet 94 at the end of this song - especially the last two lines: For sweetest things turn sourest by their deeds, lilies that fester smell far worse than weeds. Her breathy dramatic vocals over Pet Shop Boys' cold electronica go so well together...
This is my favourite track from her album "Results". Wonderful and calm synthesizer's parts with orchestral sound. This is masterpiece by Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe.
Love this tune. Awesome sampling in places - especially Lisa's vocal falsetto played at 3:16. The Pets rule.

Did she sing this type of songs in any of her recent concerts?

I would love to hear a Neil Tennant sung version of this.

The fact that The Pet Shop Boys tamed this gaudy beast & made something so timeless, tasteful & beautiful is a testimony to their sheer brilliance.

one of the best things liza ever did, sadly, it never sold well in the US. Though I and most of my friends loved it! She looked great too!
