Heavens to Murgatroid! Never heard Stockard Channing sing before now! What a treat to hear her sing one of my favorite Rodgers & Hart tunes! I've had a crush on the lovely & talented Ms Channing since the 70's. What a talent! And she's still a hot babe....hubba hubba to the max, daddy-o! Strictly from wowsville. Stockard broke my heart. Her version of "Bewitched" was my favorite because she brought SO MUCH EMOTION and haunting subtext to the song. I saw Pal Joey twice because I just fell in love with her portrayal. She's not a strong singer, but she acted the heck out of every song. An exceptional actress.

@bettyboy72 That's so cool that you got to see the play twice! :-) I totally agree with you about Stockard's version of Bewitched, Bothered, & Bewildered. You feel what Vera is feeling when she sings that song. I am majorly in love with Stockard Channing and through the clips of Pal Joey that I've been able to see, I've just fallen even more deeply for her. She is so supremely talented, such a goddess.

So glad to find this! I caught Channing singing only two phrases-- "I'm wild again, beguiled again" --on the recent Academy Awards Show at RCMH, and have been desperate to hear more! Wish I could have seen "Pal Joey" in its entirety!

it closes on 3/1...hope to get to see it before it closes...has an incredible score. it's a musical for those who don't like musicals....good plot, great characterizations.
