  • Artur Rubinstein is the reincarnation of Frederic Chopin - actually he realizes Chopin's intentions better than the composer could with his tuberculosis, and Rubinstein's Liszt performances are superlative and unmatched.

  • there is only one rubinstein and that is it

  • 5:02 - 5:10 , amazing colour , tone , and technique.

  • you know, I feel like this one might actually be harder than 2 all things considered.

  • unbeliebubble ending

  • any person who says rubinstein didn't have an amazing technique should listen to this. ty so much fillppeo! it simply cannot be played better.

I agree with you totally. Was it Rubinstein who did not record the Chopin Etudes, because he was "scared" of them, and found them too difficult? I think it was. He recorded every other work of Chopin, except for the Etdues. That's maybe partially where people get the idea that he didn't have the amazing technique that he very obviously does. What are your thoughts?

  • A stupendous performance of this very brilliant Rhapsody. Rubinstein plays with supreme elan and distinctive style of his own. Enthusiastic vigor and liveliness as well as a charming delicacy when appropriate. Easily one of the very finest performances of this work.
