  • You play it most beautifully, very nice technique. Perhaps you could try it just a bit slower, kind of tempo The Chieftains play it with Sting.

  • I enjoyed that very much thankyou. I liked the ornamentation and the whistle has a very nice tone.

  • @BadWhistle thanks very much! ya that whistle does seem to have a nicer tone than other c whistles I've tried.

  • Lovely. Is that a Clarke's C whistle?

  • @fatheroblivion45 yes it is! its pure ancient though - it belonged to my dad when he was a child! are they still made ya?

  • @TheWhistlingGypsy I knew that was an old Clarke's whistle :) The one's today don't have the gold diamond around the hole, and the holes are not as large either. The Clarke's C whistle I use belonged to my grandfather on my father's side. ( My father will be 80yrs old this Oct., so that gives you an idea of how old it must be ) Yes. They still make them today :)

  • @fatheroblivion45 ya my father told me the whistle actually belonged to an old friend of his father's before he got it and then another person before that! i hadn't realised how old it was at all!

  • Incredible.

  • @jenetcourtney ur far too kind!

  • this is brilliant

  • @jewday89 god i wouldn't go that far, but thanks!:)
