@super6plx I live in Australia. Yes it is a common mistake people make, calling 1/100 of a second a millisecond. I made the same mistake until I started competitive swimming, when people constantly corrected me for misreading my time, e.g. 27.09 = 27 seconds, and 9 hundredths of a second.

Millennium = 1000 years, therefore a millisecond = 0.001 seconds

Century = 100 years, therefore a centisecond = 0.01 seconds
