They changed the names now, the legendary dogs/cats was a fan name for them, they're offical name now is the Crown Beasts.

dude Suicune gets a new move called Boiling water which has a high chance to burn and its 80base power. In other words Boiling water > Surf... Try it out sometime and great match ;)

i think the legendary dog or beast trio are a fusion of dogs and cats

Suicune= Wolf+Leopard

Raikou=Pug+Saber Tooth Tiger

Entei=Bulldog+Lion

but they more resemble dogs so everybody just calls them the dog trio(at least thats what I think)
