  • isnt this song from mixing and mastering with waves?

  • 64 bit xp can handle allot more than that.

  • Hi - a long-time UAD lover, I recently discovered Reaper and can't live without it. You're videos have convinced me to toss Cubase for good and run UAD/Reaper full-time.

I just bought a new-ish computer (Quad 6600) and it came with freshly installed XP Home. I was about to install my gear (VST's samples, etc.) but I've been reading a lot about Windows 7. What's your take? Run with XP or wait?

GOOD MOVE!, IM AN X CUBASE USSER, 1 DAY I FOUND REAPER AND NEVER LOOKED BACK. 1 4T THERE WAS NO SUCH THING AS A PERFECT DAW, AND THAT SONAR EVEN WITH ALL ITS ANOYING FAULTS WAS AS GUD AS IT GETS,

    UNTILL I FOUND REAPER

REAPER IS ALL IVE EVER ASKED OF A DAW AND SO MUCH MORE.

  • Greetings, Nice Tutorial :D

  • The theme is just too much of a rip-off from Steinberg's Cubase 4. Even the transport buttons.

The best theme is the original one!

Reaper looks just like Vegas Audio from Sonic Foundry. I wander if Justin was a programmer for Vegas Audio back then, or if Sonic Foundry is trying to make a come back.

  • good work!

  • Hey, thanks for the feedback. I am actually using a Core Duo (e6300). Still plenty fast for my purposes though. I am using the latest v4.9 UAD-1 drivers.

  • I just recently upgraded my CPU to the new much more efficient 45mm E8400 (3Ghz, 6MB L2 Cache, SSE4) and the REAPER/UAD-1 performance is the same as in the video, except I use a lot less native CPU than before, runs cooler & uses less power (about 20W less under load).

  • Very impressive dude. I'm jealous of your hardware bro. The quad core[ie:dual/dual core cpu]and 4 uad's...damn. What uad driver are you using? Again awesome job!

  • Are you using Windows Vista then? I've heard that XP can't handle more than 3 GB of RAM
