  • The best solo i've ever heard.

  • The best music to hang yourself.

  • @Gawroon7 I'm Not Quite Sure How To Take That...

  • Scusi dov'è il bar?

  • @Bach251 Not Now, John! I'm Listening To A Song...

  • Ahhhh, Gilmour the King of the meaningful guitar solo!!! I will recognize his style of playing even under water!!!

  • Always loved the bad ass solo in the middle.

  • @crazynini1000 The first guitar break and solo, is, in my opinion, one of the best in the pink floyd album catalogue.. and certainly very overlooked.

  • <3

  • Eric Fletcher Waters - Rogers Dad, was killed in battle during the second world war. A lot of Rogers music can be understood better when you know he lost his dad to war and never knew him!

Strange how the death of one man has brough so much meaningful music to so many...

  • I still love Roger... even if his ego DOES fill up 90% of the ever-expanding universe

  • I love the eagles in the final lol

  • boom boom, bang bang

  • just love listening to a brilliant song such as this and reading the comments to see two over opinionated fools having an arguement over US and the USSR, seriously why bother just listen to the song its that good!

  • Não se desculpe por não ter vídeo. Me transportei aos anos 80, quando ficávamos ouvindo música e olhando a capa do LP.

  • Do not apologize for not having video. I moved to the 80s when we were listening to music and looking at the cover of the LP.

  • Wore out two cassette tapes and it was the first CD I ever bought.

  • i love this album soo damn much. <3

  • This is a song only for Eric Fletcher Waters, no for deaths politicians...

  • The Daddy Song.

  • This is the funeral song

  • They should play this at Kim Jong-Il's funeral.

  • i am from the 1960's and this tells all the politico to piss off.....i love it......too cool for school!

  • ""did they expect them to treat them with any respect!?...""

This will always be one of my very VERY favorite Floyd albums!!! I'm grateful to find it out here.

  • i love the sinical sarcasism im this song

  • I'm Greek and want to dedicate this incredible song (musical and lyrical) to all of you who torture and kill us every fucking day.... We wish to all of you a very soon death... Stop playing your fucking games into human lives.... Γαμημενοι... And to all of you who watching fucking tv and read fucking newspapers which tell you that Greeks are lazy thieves and blablabla please don't listen to them... The only thing that tv do is to burn your brain and humiliate people. And of course telling lies!

  • @nightwishxxld

Deep man... did you take an arrow in the knee?

  • @DaRkPlUm Sorry but i don't understand the phrase arrow in the knee...

  • @nightwishxxld I can only assume you're making a vague attack on the Eurozone which YouTube frequenters are likely to know nothing about. In which case, you have my sympathies.

  • @ChocoboKnight7 Thank you friend... And not only eurozone... All these Mason-Jew-American organizations that earn money from the pain of people...

  • the last good floyd album. Not saying roger waters WAS pink floyd. Nick Mason, Richard Wright, David Gilmour, AND Roger Waters... that was the true Pink Floyd.

  • @MarinatedTenderloins What about Syd Barrett?

  • @NAAMxLOOS that was a different floyd altogether. i love that era as well, but i consider the lineup i listed as the greatest form of pink floyd.

  • hello maggie!

  • teehee my last name is fletcher

  • And amuse themselves playing games for awhile. Always the same story, people get killed cause their games! Honor to all civil victims of New World Order, all innocent victims of people seeking for oil and money!

  • @MrHaedshot94 Yes and I've always thought that the lyrics of this poignant song are still topical today although in other circumstances.

  • oh one more thing I'd like to share with you all! SAFE IN THE PERMANENT GAZE OF COLD GLASS EYEEE!

  • You can polish your medals and sharpen your smiles

  • what about gadaffi? Surely, even though he was african, he was certainly part of the 'meat packing gliterati' considering he ending up in a meat freezer?!

  • 8 people dislike this? that must have been thatcher and paisley

mr. brezhnev and party, the ghost of mccarthy

    the memories of nixon

  • ...and now, adding colour, a group of anonymous Latin-American meat packing glitterati...This album always puts me in a funk, but I love it!

  • @VinylDelusion It's actually incurable tyrants

  • @pontiacslut without gilmour there is no pink floyd u idiot. the band wouldnt have even made a saucerful of secrets. grow a brain.

  • love this song

  • @gorgolyt Thats so far from the truth that you are delusional bud.

  • @gorgolyt there wouldnt be pink floyd withought roger waters and syd barrett ,,,,david was just lucky ,,,n ye hes gud but roger is floyd

  • @gorgolyt I guess thats why they call it music. If there wasnt what you didnt like..... there wouldnt be what you do like. I happen to think this is Gilmores greatest solo ever........ Def my fav Pink Floyd album...... just amazing.

  • is it me or at the beginning of the solo doesnt it sound like mother?

  • "ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Merkel and Sarkuzi

mr. berlosconi and friend mr. Werner Faymann and donal duck

    mr. Cameron and party

    the ghost of Karl marx

    the nightmares of dostojevsky

and now adding colour a group of anonymous latin

    american meat packing glitterati"

  • @telewebservices Don't include Karl Marx, the great creator of socialism/communism does not deserve to be included with the likes of those capitalist puppets.

  • @yaik7a You fool. Your own system killed millions of your own countrymen via Stalin's cult of personality and Khrushchev's famine; the latter killed more children than adults. And let's not forget 30-plus million Chinese during the '50s/'60s famine You gonna keep sipping the Kool-Aid forever? Wake the fuck up; we so-called 'capitalists' have been acutely aware of your failed system--as well as our own failed system--for decades.

  • @SenorSpode I never said anything, about Stalin, he was a complete tool, he was not even a communist, Khrushchev was better at foreign policy, if Khrushchev was the Premier and Brezhnev the Economic minister, the USSR would have had far batter living conditions, and would have lasted forever. Mao was a great military leader but he could no run a country, if the Gang of Four ran the government after the civil war none of those thing would have happened.

  • @yaik7a Essentially, it all boils down to this: the Parties--be they American or Russian (in which case, 'party' would be accurate)--nominate and install their leaders. So it's the parties that run the countries, not the individuals themselves. America used to regard itself better than the USSR because we had two parties; as you can tell, in the new USSR-free world, two parties ain't cutting it anymore.

  • @SenorSpode You mean the US that has been virtually military lead for the last 50 years?

  • @yaik7a maybe up until Vietnam, no way is the US military leaders. Vietnam ruined the US.

  • @yaik7a Ha Ha Ha, the US has never was any military leader at any time, and was outpaced by the Soviet Union after the 1950's and is outpaced by goat herders today.

  • @telewebservices FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 2:14.......senza parole...

  • Then they had thatcher, nixon, brezhnev, now we have Sarkuzi, Merkel and the EU, and those people are expecting us to treat them with any respect after selling Europe off and destroying democracy instead of strengthening and fixing it.

  • Did they expect us to treat them with any respect?

They can polish their medals and sharpen their

Smiles, and amuse themselves playing games for awhile.

    Nothing have change!

  • Very deep.

  • @jasmcc1 Don't take it as racism..But aren't US and UK criminals about almost everything happens at Middle East and Africa .

  • Tnx, I love this song...mmm no I love This Album....maybe I love Pink Floyd...

  • Love this song

  • i used to like waters till he started spewing trash like this his anti american and british proproganda

  • @jasmcc1

I used to like Waters until his music started to sound like shock therapy.

  • @chingchangchongfly why do you consanly visit these pages if you dont like it. You have a negative comment on every final cut page I've been to. Get lost

  • @pooptypants1 As soon as you change your diaper, I'll get lost. I think I can smell it from here.

  • @jasmcc1 its anti war tit

  • 1:33 "Weź to wyłącz" :D

  • 7 people belong in the Fletcher Memorial Home for incurable tyrants and kings!

  • still solid, love them :)

  • 2:03 absolutely magic

  • "Scusi dov'è il bar?"

  • that "Boom Boom, Bang Bang, Lie Down, Your Dead" gets me every time

  • Damn, when the solo starts...I juste have...chills! *_* POWERFUL!

  • awesome song*******

  • Whatever effect David has on his guitar is just awesome! It sounds so raw!

  • "Did they expect us to treat them with any respect?"

Who cares about treating them with any respect??!! Such a weird English thing to even worry about. Somewhere deep in his conscience a little voice is saying, "Now, Rog, don't be disrepectful to these a-holes." And you can almost hear an equally small voice within him responding, "I cahn't help it...these mad buggers have me so irate with their wars and economic exploitation. They've forced me right into impoliteness, really."

  • "Did they expect us to treat them with any respect?"

Who cares about treating them with any respect??!! Such a weird English thing to even worry about. • sadly the last album with rogers on it....

  • One of the best solos for sure

  • I think I know all of Pink Floyd's solos..but this one really scratches your soul.Without being too reductionist, all of possible Human feelings expressed in a transcendental piece of guitar...

  • Waters couldve done some great spoken word albums, his lyrics got really damn good there at the end. 'What God Wants' is probably my favorite solo thing he's done

  • i cant decide if this song is laughbly melodramatic & obvious or just plain hilarious. god i love the Floyd, though they REALLY shouldve stopped here and not had those last two shit albums

  • Correct minkvinne...This is the very last PF album done together...after this, Roger did his solo "Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking". Both this and that album are pure mastery...nothing short of what I would and have expected out of my favorite band of all time; Pink Floyd :)

  • David Gilmore?? this album Waters made alone.... but it`s PF album becuse PF started playing toogather again at this time.

  • @minkvinne few people know this...Roger voiced what I could hear in the last 2 PF albums when we said for example on the last PF album, Dave rang up someone and said I`m thinking of making a PF album, got any ideas?,

  • @minkvinne Not entirely true...

David Gilmour – guitar, vocals on "Not Now John"

Nick Mason – drums, percussion, sound effects (with holophonics)

  • 7 dislikes? WTF how could anyone not like this.... probably people who have only heard money and another brick pt 2 on the radio ahaha lol.

  • Bum Bum

    Bang Bang

  • this is the signature david gilmour solo.......none other than pink floyd.

  • That´s good social music....

    Pink floyd is alive...

  • this is Gilmour straight from the Animals

  • @kenslinks, I agree. without Gilmour this abum would never be what it is. I love this album but Roger should be grateful to Dave for being there.

  • Hosni Mubarak is moving there soon.

  • by far one of the greatest songs of ALL TIME

  • Gilmour has expressed distaste for this album, but I think his guitar solo here is vintage Gilmour: simple and very expressive. Gives me chills.

  • This song is great

  • @blackstonefilms123

For what campaigns do the ribbons stand? The Campaign Ribbons on the album cover...does anyone know?

  • @FLSCOUT2

    From left to right

1939-45 Star, Africa Star, Defence Medal, Distinguished Flying Cross

  • i have been a fan all my life i truly believe pink floyd during the waters years were the ultimate staduim band ever

  • While widely panned by critics, The Final Cut is consistently given high marks in fan polls. As brazilduluwita said, this record is not Pink Floyd 101, more for those going for the Floyd master's degree! What, did you seven forget how to spell Money?

  • Hi David, thanks a lot! Great interpretation! Best wishes and a merry Christmas Karlheinz

  • This is for the 7Seven that didn't like this. What did you all expect when you all started to listen to this?. Did you all think this from Justin Beeper?. Seriously I would really like to know. I mean, it is stated very clearly Pink Floyd Final Cut. This album is for only hard core fans, lovers. You 7Seven have no clue what you all were listening to ha..?. And then you all just marked dislike ha?. Please guys give us a break and listen to something within your capacity. This is not for you.

  • "boom boom"... "bang bang"...."lie down your, dead" live on pink floyd :, )

  • It's his grandad....squeak!

  • 1.23 "Scusi, dov'è il bar?"

  • Roger's Dads name was Fletcher wasn't it?

  • @josephmarion9 Yes.

  • @josephmarion9 His father's name was Eric Fletcher Waters.

  • where's the bar John?

  • @joeysheehan i have no clue why your comment is flagged as spam maybe by bitch people that cant handle it when someone has a different opinion than them

  • @999nick1 I know! They must be trolls that have no life!

  • what would joeysheehan actually know about music ?

he spends all his time on terrorist videos like IRA Rebel Song - Fuck the British Army

check out his vile comments that even the die hard republican supporters have spammed

  • @sgcnadesf89I I take it you mean British Republicans? Or whatever you call them over there (Conservatives, I believe)?

  • hey presto !

  • Phooey ! I grew up with Saucer full of secrets, Meddle, Ummagumma...

PF never came in to it's own until Roger took over !

Animals, The Wall, and Final Cut are the BEST there is !!

  • @robobob61

    Uhm....Dark Side of the Moon?

  • @gilli39 .

    Ooops....My Bad !!!!

  • Roger Waters writes most of Pink Floyds lyrics and alot of ideas, but David Gilmour is defenately more musically talented.

  • wonderful, wonderful, AMAZING..... I love PF

  • omg dude this just makes you cry

    its unbelievable!

  • I always said theres no such thing as good music, it's all just a matter of opinion. But i have been proved wrong time and again by PF. Unbelievable.

  • Oh, also the guitar solo at 2:13.

It always one of my favorites of Gilmour.

  • I always loved the bridge, I guess you could say, that starts at 1:09

  • @Mikeyski4 Hum, I'm not sure, shouldn't it be a little bit further ahead?

  • missing the airplane bomb at the beginning of the track

  • @youser379 that's in the song before that, called 'get your filthy hands off my desert'

  • best album ever made period!!!

  • this guitar solo is the sound of pink floyd breaking up...

  • This is the closest anyone has been to the truth...

  • ..."It's the only connection...they feel"...

  • Dude... dude... it's so hard to explain... i'm almost on tears... this is music dude... Music can touch every feelings... They're not abstract anymore...

  • eargasmic....wahhh!!

  • fuck...!!

  • Gilmour showed on this song, with his solo, that music is a great way to put aside all the BS going on in your life, and get lost in the tune.

Great Waters solo record. Not so good PF album

  • Roger was on his own journey here, a powerful and maybe selfish journey, but in the end it was a beautiful, necessary one.

  • yes, definitely a cathartic experience for Waters. Unfortunately, I think it was so one-sided that Gilmour, equally importang, decided to heck with Roger's mental therapy

  • Where's the bar John??

  • if you get the chance, go see ole Roger. he is still fucken awesome. i did ,and got a front row seat

  • the solo makes cry...what a passion! David Gilmour's fingers and soul are simply magic

  • @tunaonfire23 Yes I agree. I consider this solo one of his best if not his best. The solos on this album cut so deep. I think it must be the conrast to the melodramatic music. Very pensive almost depresing Waters orchastration then all of a sudden it opens up with Gilmores briliant sense of melody and knowing where to play as much as where not to play.

    Waters Gilmore = musical bliss.

  • @marcusdolby1 Gilmour

  • 1:23 si sente uno che dice "scusi dov'è il bar?" xD... at 1:23 you can here someone who says "scusi dov'è il bar?".. What The Hell??????? (excuse me where's the cafè?)

  • @FreddieTheOnlyOne si l ho notato anch io XD...è un riferimento all' Italia (luogo dove è morto suo padre,di cui si parla in questa canzone) ;)

  • @tunaonfire23 Grazie per l'informazione =) Magnifico album..

  • all i do is cry wen i lisent to his stuff it is true and touching......i feel the same way

  • The world is plagued with Tyrants and Kings, and its incurable....

  • Bloody amazing guitar solo, one of David Gilmour'sbest in my opinion along with the one in Not now John. David Gilmour's presence is still felt at the heart of this supposedly 'all Waters' album.

  • @wildfire5610 I love Waters but I also think Gilmores best solos are on this album.

  • Too bad they are not together as a band, solo or older and not touring :( I was in 3rd grade during this album, but Floyd and Roger.. your music still is the basis of emotion behind what I create and hear, or laugh when I look back at other music.
