  • goodness this looks so terrible. love the no visible tattoos and no beards or mustaches. These edutainers look so young and naive are like paid actors. at least they don't have to dress up in costumes. hey wait a minute. all the teachers were white. they could save a fortune by hiring locals and putting them in costumes. I should be running that company... lol

  • - High energy, dynamic personality - Maintain professionalism, perspective & humor through fast growth & organizational change - 2-4 years of teaching/related experience, preferably with young learners - Disney "Look" - Clean cut - All men clean shaven, short hair - No visible piercings - Tattoos must be able to be covered by short sleeve shirt - Uniform Disney English issued khaki pants/polo shirt - Couples are fine but Disney policy is they cannot work at the same learning center together.
  • The age requirements is actually due to law requirements in China, I don't think Disney cares if they have older or younger teachers, as long as they are good ones who like kids and aren't nutjobs.

  • Do I (capital I) really need to make this things up...... the fact there is that Filipino (capital F) can speak more English (capital E) than a Chinese (capital C)..... I really don't care if they will hire or not a Filipino (capital F) Teachers or not because we already know that we are more reliable in English (capital E) than they are.....

  • @snerfud Not hiring Filipinos is not a Disney choice. It has to do with the Chinese government's laws on work visas.

  • Yes, prepare them for the take over of America...

  • @DiatonicSoul they've taken over already buddy!!

  • Propaganda..nothing more or less. To exclude people who are over 39 is to deny their students the opportunity to interact with the most experienced teachers. They don't want experience, they want malliable young twits who they can control as cogs in their profit machine. It's "edu-tainment." A place for affluent Chinese families to dump off their children. It's an outright joke that this would be considered meaningful for the staff or students. Cartoon capitalism at its zenith.

  • Disney is age discriminating. You must be between 25 and 39 years old? What a terrible way to post a job Disney. Shame on you!

  • @usahouses the "age discrimination" doesn't come from Disney... it's based on Chinese laws and regulations in obtaining work visas

  • it is just disappointing that Disney English in china doesn't accept teachers came from the Philippines....... I wonder why? Is it just the Chinese are very jealous that the Philippines is a much better English speakers than any other country in Asia? And they only accept Native English Speakers like raised from America, Britain, Australia, New Zealand, etc. But they don't even know that this people they are calling great in english speaking are having problems with their english grammars,,,,

  • @snerfud If you're trying to apply and didn't get hired, maybe consider the following:

"But they don't even know that this(this should be these) people they are calling great in (fragmented)

english (English should have a capital E) speaking are having problems with their

english grammars",,,,(English should be capital E and grammars is singular and should be grammar)

    ....But, I get your point

  • This looks like so much fun and its been shown that relaxed environments produce deeper learning . (Subtitles need correcting) I too love Disney very much!
