I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and tank clean and rustfree!
Hey but he is right, I also use good two stroke oil in my old slant six and BMW E9!
These old engines need some corrosion protection and extra oil to the upper piston regions, because modern fuel is corrosive and too dry to old carbs and injections!

No problem, you can find two stroke oil in any gas station for motorcycles, scooters and 2 Stroke Chainsaws. Works good against corrosion.
Mix 0.5 - 1% two stroke oil to your fuel.

@Grollenkutzel Yeah I think you guys are onto something, but I dont think we have any API TC oil here :(
Also I`m not sure how much I should mix in the gasoline. for my Inline 4 DOHC 4A-GE (Weber 45 DCOE, and otherwise blood tuned.)
