i just got a 08 Saturn Astra in the US, i must say it is a very nice car. Sleek design, very nice to drive and comfortable inside. Cons of the car is the interior design should've been more impressive, not so much as for cupholders and stuff which i don't care for but the dash could;ve been designed better. It has torque-steering so when you take off from a stop it is a little jittery but when it stabalizes a speed it becomes a smooth ride, (smooth as in something you would experience in a BMW)

im from the UK, and my dad gets these pieces of shit as company cars all the time.. they are fuckin shite.. they are shit in the uk in america in australia, all over europe and were ever the fuck else they sell them. its NO where NEAR as good as the focus! disagree? then go fuckin read up sum reviews u opel/vauxhall/saturn loving pricks :)

do you even own a car? probably not! you bell end! either way, I own the Mk3 Astra (Vauxhall) and I love it, very comfortable and economical on the fuel, even for a 12 year old diesel! I would defiantly have another one

Sure, it may not be as good as many other cars such as the Euro Focus, but for the US market, they're extremely competitive. Only thing it has to compete with here is the Mazda 3 or VW Rabbit/Golf. The US-spec Focus looks like crap, and we don't have many other hatchbacks to choose from. If I were in the UK, I would definitely pick something else over an Astra, and a Euro-spec Focus would be high on that list.

Its not about the reviews, its about the driver inside of the car, and how much money someone has. for me, Im in high school and this is one of the fairly nice cars besides the lancer and STI that are in my price range. Im not gonna be rollin in a Hyundai accent or nissan versa, fuck that! And really, a bmw? yea, im about 40,000 away from that. good luck in life. Im sure you suck, and thats why you wouldnt be on you tube right now looking up things you hate.

I drive nothing but German cars. At an early age, I was taught to hate GM cars as my father purchased a lemon and the company abandoned him. Roger Smith once said, "we make money, not cars." GM advertised that the road to redemption is long and arduous. I drove the Saturn Astra and it is a competent sports hatchback. If Americans don't buy it, it isn't because it is a POS as you suggest. It is because GM has poor brand equity in the US.

Just because OPEL is not so expensive like BMW or Audi that doesent mean that Opel is not a good brand.

In Europe Opel is one of the oldest manufacturer with a long history. The new Opel desings are very good you can belive me.

The Saturn version will have very few changes. Mostly things that are need to make it legal. Not sure of which engine, Europe has like a million engine choices.

There were a number of pre-production Saturn Astras being tested for evaluation in Germany last year wearing German plates - it's possible this car was one of those.

First. Cool video seeing the track from a slow car like the saturn but next time you do something like this Chris video it then edit it and upload it. The frame rate is all over the place and lots of lost frames and bad audio. Thanks for the vid though.
