  • who are those children?

    are they stoned?

  • riff-based rock gets old pretty quick, if it isn't decently arranged with a little variety - these guys stepped on this basic blues riff pretty mercilessly here -

  • Ha, I'm 14. Can't get enough of this. People should listen to a variety of music and not be so close minded listening to one genre. I listen to everything on the planet its almost scary.. >-<

  • ow yes Im high right now :)

  • great solo

  • amazing......I was just watching a documentary today on Ayn Rand. The picture on the vid is of Rand and her sisters as kids (of course).

    Deja vu all over again.

  • Just killer guitar on this.

  • too bad the drum tracks got lost......what I could hear sounded really good.

  • @hippieMANIAK Well, I wasn't talking about someone who has intelligence like you. But do you agree with most kids your age with their Curly Howard haircuts and gigantic old folk's home shorts with their listening of rap or, if into heavy music, are only accepting of shallow crap such as Metallica?

  • This is the heaviest song in music history

  • All of you complaining of today's music are so out of touch, of course the pop stuff is shit, it's always been. You just aren't looking hard enough. You think a band like this was played on the radio back then? Bands like Earthless, Dead Meadow, Bardo Pond, etc. I'm a post 90's kid too, damn.

  • @kfant Pop music has not always been shit. The Beatles were a band of pop rock dude

  • My generation has become out of touch with good music such as this. But don't generalize. I'm 20 and i can assure you that people my age still enjoy and truly appreciate this music. You say "You don't get this sound in this era." well then you're obviously no longer apart of the underground music scene. Also, "fuck line 6"? It's not about the fucking equipment it's how you use it. You can make good music with just about any amp you can find.

  • hell fucking yea well said man! This band is truly fucking badass!!!! and im also 20 and enjoying the good stuff XD

  • Comment removed

  • But seriously people listen to this guy, couldnt have said it better, i always hear people say our generation doesnt know real music, but a good number of them do and it'll eventually be past on because true music doesnt die! and yea just everything u said man its true!

  • there are bands out there like this. but it's hard for us to get signed because of the crap that's out there today. i loved it whenever there were no boundaries in music.

  • I'd like to murder the 1st crook that thumbs this down...Love to all the thumbs up though, peace

  • @hippieMANIAK . . . . . nice one man, keep the flag flying for us oldies :-) ya got great taste

  • This sound is still alive and well with bands like Orange Goblin, Sheavy, Electric Wizard and most of the Doom and Stoner Rock scene, for what it's worth.

  • GREAT!

  • the album's cover is a famous photograph, isn't it?

  • It's getting too heavy!!

  • I desperately need a torrent of this to download... I haven't come close to finding a legitimate one yet. Some one hook it up?

  • just download it from youtube, theres many sites that let you do that. i could send you one if you want.

  • @bewleytools

buy the two albums from cdwow.

  • is this where stoner started?.. we all thought it started with kyuss!! good stuff..

  • @telecasteredtodeath "we all thought it started with kyuss!!"

    you what ?

  • @telecasteredtodeath Stoner Metal started with black sabbath ;)

  • @telecasteredtodeath and blue cheer

  • someone explain to me the people on this album cover they creep me out...

  • @AaronBaker12345 It's 3 little girls and they're all stoned out of their mind.

  • @AaronBaker12345 Or maybe 2 little girls and 1 little boy, not sure about the one in the middle. Kind of look like they did some 'shrooms or something don't they? LOL.

  • @daven58100 i dont know, ahaha its trippy.

  • Joey "Pepe" Smith - Drums & Vocals

    Shiki Chen - Guitars

    Masayoshi Kabe - Bass

  • Comment removed

  • so stoned.. Great tune

  • Comment removed

  • They were stoned out of there FUCKEN MINDS WHEN THEY MADE THIS TRACK!!!!!! hahahahahahahaha lol The sound is very good, the voicals are even more intresting.

    Insane track

  • Sounds like a cross between James Gang's "Yer Album" and John Entwistle's "Smash Your Head Against The Wall".

  • i like guitar (solo) sound ...

  • Speed Glue and Shinki - poor girls..

  • from now on i will listen to this while high as a kite

  • Which one is Stinky LOL

  • @angrysamoan666 I think it's the one on the left, cause she looks like she just ripped one.:p

  • @daven58100 You nailed it mate, that little smirk. Silent but deadly LOL

  • Hmm, I don't find the comment I saw in my email, but yes, there's plenty of good music being made, but most of it's underground. The Breeders come to mind, for example. And I will google Tame Impala!

  • I wonder how this generation forgot their own music and sold out so badly and so thoroughly. By 1974 good music like this was extinct. Any 13-year-old 2010 rock fan would claim that this "sucked" because the guitarist isn't diddley-dee-ing millionth-notes all the way thru it and he's not using a Line 6 amplifier.

  • @gwugluud I could make a joke and say this generation forgot their own music because they were stoned all the time but in all honesty this great music was still a sub genre and when it first appeared as "acid rock". I do know the drummer for The Ramones was in a heavy metal band called Dust when he was a teenager. So those into this music went into other directions like Punk. The New Wave of British Heavy Metal was a mix of heavy metal and punk.

  • @gwugluud dude witchcraft

  • @gwugluud ha, jesus, your so fucking stupid, there's tonnes of good bands, get your head outta yer ass

  • @jeremynischuk I'm afraid I don't own a "so fucking stupid". You may need to clarify what you were trying to say when referring to my fucking stupid. Thank you.

  • @gwugluud least you still got a head up your ass

  • @jeremynischuk You mean the head of your dad's dick is up YOUR ass, there, Jeremy Mucous.

  • @gwugluud dude people threw this away back then too.

  • @gwugluud nah man theres tuns of new bands keepin this sound goin, check out brutus from norway, witchcraft from sweden, the crooks from chicago, dead meadow, the mediums from chicago etc

  • @gwugluud man im 16 andi love this :D

  • @charles0095 Good, my brother! When I generalized about kids I wasn't including discerning people such as you.

  • @gwugluud i hope, someday these sounds would come back to this era.....

  • @gwugluud Those unfortunate philistines are called "metalheads".

  • @gwugluud dude thats totally not true. There is a huge old school movement all over the world. All of the bands use strictly vintage valve amplifiers :) The bands just don't get any airplay on mtv or the radio. Don't give up brotha just look deeper in the underground it's alive and well man.

  • @gwugluud That "diddley-dee-ing" stopped by about 1994.

  • @Sirscorps Hmm, well, someone needs to notify the tens of thousands of "shredder" bands out there of this...

  • @Sirscorps nah man. kids today want rock-masturbation

  • @dirtbag1713 What do you mean? I'm almost 40

  • @dirtbag1713 kids today must be shot in the head a couple of time

  • @dirtbag1713 times*

  • @gwugluud

You have no idea, do you? Plenty of young blood listening to and playing stoner doom.

  • @gwugluud Fuck Line 6 and those lame ass metalcore kids. Its all about HEAVY METAL AND MARSHALL ( or crate, shure, peavy, anything respectable)

  • @gwugluud I was listening to shinki chen when I was 13 (i'm 15 now) and this definitely does not suck. rock loses it's raw emotion and artistry nowadays. I play bass and guitar and I can really relate to what you're saying

  • @zx1357 Thanks! You see it.

  • @gwugluud you couldnt have said it better.

  • @PoserExposer Preesh that, Brother.

  • @gwugluud Dude you need to look deeper into the underground. There's actually a massive resurgence of this type of music all over the world going on during the 2000's. I'm in a band that plays this style as a matter of fact.

  • @gwugluud the 70's was full of good music. stop trying to sound deep.

  • @RayGun1band 70s was flippin amazing for music, probably better than the 60s.

  • @gwugluud Well depends. Good music is still made today.

  • This blew my mind. What a great band! This is why I love the internet.

  • Super stoner extra big bell bottom flair caught on fire, and shot'em straight up into space..These dudes still haven't landed yet.

  • This is the first time I heard of these musicians, this band, and this song.....and it kicked my ass!

  • this is awesome! can't believe this band isn't as recognized as Steppenwolf, Deep Purple, Frank Zappa, or Zeppelin and others considered as staples of the classic rock genre. thanks for sharing and turning people on to an excellent band not heard otherwise!

  • @rocklvr71 It's because of the stupidity of the music industry and the general public. What sense does it make to even have "charts", such as the "top 40" when there has always been so much out there. And there is NO EXCUSE for the way your avg rock station will have a set play list of 10 songs that are repeated hundreds of times a day. I have had ppl tell me they didn't want to listen to a CD i tried to show them, because they've never heard of that band.

  • Incredible!

  • Where....How...? I do know why!!! lol. Thanks again d.

  • Shinki!

  • speed, glue and shinki...what a band/ you dont get bands like this today!

  • absulutely U right. This Sounds you don't get in this era :))

  • @darublues This is totally killer, but I've gotta say there are bands out there today in the underground rock scene which is keeping this sound alive. Check out The Atomic Bitchwax, Stone Axe, Nebula and Brant Bjork to name but a few.

  • @badcoraphael they are out there amidst the mountains of garbage today.. i stumbled upon "TAME IMPALA" who sound like they came strait outta the 60s... enjoy

  • @badcoraphael Check out a band from Sweden called Graveyard. They are current and awesome.

  • joey smith, one of the best rock n roll voice!!!!

  • i agree.he was great singer back in 70s and still is.and a awesome drummer also, not to forget also grandfather of pinoy rock ;-)

  • This is so groovy, far-out!

  • Comment removed
