  • Janet's dance instructor from Threes Company sure has an awesome cartoon voice (aka Micheal Bell) Thanks for posting! Love the animated sequences!

  • I used to have the Tiger Shark, yeah I'm pretty cool.

  • man if i ever rule my own country we are going to copy these badass vehicle designs for our army

  • Does anybody Shine Patrol the unit that had all vehicles and planes painted chrome? I haven't been able to find that commercial on youtube yet those awesome looking to.

  • @OLDSCHOOL6239 I haven't seen Sky Patrol commercials.

  • @sserpent21 SKY PATROL ! ! THERE YOU GO I had the name wrong yea that's it ! ! Darn it yea still can't find any but I remember there were commerials for that line.

  • I love that song

  • What today's commercials are missing are epic theme songs!

  • i had the tiger force Dusty and Roadblock and the 4 wheeler.. i miss them.. i miss my childhood :P

  • @daiatlus79 Amen. Man how I wish I was stuck in a Time Continuium back in the '80's. The Best Time To Be A Kid. Period. Sigh. I feel sorry for the youth of today...

  • @CaptainBuckRogers If you get pulled into that time continium let me know so I can join you. LOL

  • Man, I wish my friends and I had great choreography like that when I was little.

  • man when I was alil kid I always wanted this tiger for set but could not afford it but now that I work I'm totally get this lmao!!!

  • That kid launched that TigerShark boat into the water. HA! Mine sank like a stone when I put it in water.

  • @NoMercyfortheGuilty Yeah that and the WHALE didn't do too well in the pool.

  • And this was the point they ran out of new ideas for vehicals...

  • I had the air plane, my mom had to help me to assemble it, but with a lot of glue and patience everything is possible, and came with free camouflage paint for the face that rocked.

  • THats not from 1992......try ,88 or 89 at the latest......GI joe got shitty in 1990....

  • Brilliant marketing. Just use the same molds and give a different paint job to the toys kids already own and rake in the cash. Good thing that Transofrmers never did that...oh, wait.

  • Whose idea was that? The chrome toys pwned those! At least they would reflect their surrouding area. How on Earth do you hide a tiger striped jet?

  • I bet that tiger jumped on that buggy because it thought it was a sexy tigress?

  • just imagine if the actual cartoon was animated this well, with this kind of intensity!

  • Nobody beats g.i.joe..TIIIGER FOOORRRRRCE!!! YO JOE

  • I don't remember this one.

  • @pyrogyra72 I did.

  • Back then I just couldn't get into Tiger Force and Python Patrol for some reason. I wanted the original stuff even if it wasn't in stores anymore. Now though, I have the rereleased Python Patrol X-30 from Target.

  • +1 for the dude who sings the song! This commercial wouldn't be nearly as awesome without him!

  • I had the Tiger Rat! Those were great!

  • black and yellow - G.I. JOE Remix

  • I had the boat for Christmas when I was a kid!

And with the camouflage that came included Me and my brother decided to camouflage my little cousin on Christmas dinner!

I can still remember his face! We did a terrible camouflage work on him!!! hahahahaha!!!

You should have seen my uncle's face when he came down the stairs all looking like a chimney cleaner in his beautiful new Christmas suit!! hahahaha!!

  • Was the US military in such disarray back in the 1980's, that they were forced to re-use captured enemy equipment?

Cobra, if anyone, should've had more repainted Joe vehicles. Could you imagine a repainted Cobra Flagg, Skystriker, Dragonfly, Tomahawk, & Mauler?

  • @getback9691

They did, it was called Python Patrol. The Cobra Conquest X-30 was the result. What Hasbro was doing was simply recoloring and recasting existing toy molds as a cost-cutting measure. They did this again with a line called Nightforce that was made for Toys R Us. I have to admit that I actually liked some of the recolors better than the originals.

  • dude, i wanna meet the guy they had singing the songs in the commercials. they were so bad!! haha. i also love how the tiger looks possessed when it jumps on the vehicle. man, i love the 80s! haha

  • I had the ATV.

  • @waketek516 me too! hahaha i didnt know there were all these other vehicles when i was a kid

  • so you'll stop COBRA with "TIGER FORCE"!.....as oppose to OTHER times you couldn't stop them??

  • wow geniuses. Get the cobra vehicles+repaint them+market them as gi joe vehicles=increased toy sales

  • wtf the g i joe dragonfly wus nvr cobras helecopter.. the ratler(a-10) wus and the rest wus... looks like hasbro was getting cheap on ideas..

  • "Johnson how can sell all our old toys from 1984 ?"

" Mr. Hasbro sir I have a great idea we will just repaint the toys we have in stock with "Tiger Paint" Never mind the kids have the exact same toys in regular camo, Tiger paint is the way to go."

" Excellent Johnson I see a promotion in your future."

  • Wouldn't the Joes have to keep stealing Cobra's vehicles to replenish the ones lost in battle?

  • Let's just repaint some toys and resell them

  • They are stealthy...

  • Actually if they were cobra vehicles just goes to show you that if you're better trained cobra will still get whupped by their old stuff

  • just repaint your discontinued toys and rename them" lame "

  • Tiger Force actually came out in 1989. I got them for Christmas when i was 12....and Night Force was better.

  • I have the helicopter that I got at a second hand store. Wooo! The blades actually spin when you push a button over and over!

  • I Rymenber Blizzard in Tiger Force WTF Artic Soldier doing in Jungle Type Animal :D

  • Blizzard? You must be from the UK. We got Frostbite (and had to come up with some excuse for *where* he could drive a P. Yellow snow half-track). I think having some of the most famous Joes from the cartoon back on toy store pegs made us overlook a lot.

Since I got into Joe too late to get the 1st Duke and Roadblock, I was thinking:

"Duke! Roadblock! Flint! a new Rattler! woohoo!!!!"

  • G Joe must be running low on funds from congress if they've got to steal cobra shit to use.

  • still got my tiger rat and tiger fly..... :)

  • Tiger force was awesome, love it when i was a kid

  • ther cobra vehicals rearmed and repaited therefore there TIGER FOCE LOL

  • awesome I had the plane!

  • Tiger Force = 1st Battalion (Airborne), 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade (Separate), 101st Airborne Division???

  • This smells like a cheap way to refresh a batch of toys that were not selling well - yellow paint and you got TIGER FORCE

  • Actually, they were repaints of top sellers. In some cases, the repaints ended up looking better than the originals.

  • The Tiger Force repaints sucked. The nightforce looked better.

  • I missed this animated commercial. Thanks for posting! Love hearin' Mike Bell aka Duke!

  • Tiger Force FTW!

  • g.i joe finally admitted destro supplied cobra with the coolest weapons and vehicles, lol. anywho, i'm shocked they didn't release more of that line for the 25th anniversary.

  • @AvEryBadApPLe the US goivernment is currenly supplying Cobra with weapons. Check it the proof theres tonnes of it!

  • @2010Barbon just like blackwater trains all the cobra vipers.

  • @AvEryBadApPLe yeh dude its serious.

  • I remember tiger force! I just never understood why they made Duke's hair brown for his Tiger Force figure? Never made sense to me.

  • does anybody have the mp3 of the Tiger Force Theme song....

It might sound strange, but I Frakin love the beat! It's so 80's!

  • lol "tiger force" - like the notorious us army regiment that committed war crimes in vietnam. priceless.

  • Comment removed

  • Yo Joe !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Just got em last week freakin' awsome and great detailing on the 25th tiger rat with the new bullet ridden plating you can put on them

  • Well I loved the TF. Unfortunately I live in a country where you actually dont find them at large. they were all precious pieces of art to me. except for tripwire. I remember buying his figure in dozens and turned them all to cobra soldiers by unpainting him and ironing the face.

  • I LOVED Tiger Force (yes, it did come out in 1988). In addition to re-releasing figures of some of my favorite Joes - who by that time had ben discontinued - they were given a pretty cool new color scheme. I still have my Duke and Flint. I recall having also Dusty and the guy with the little bazooka, I can't recall his name now. Also the Tiger Rat plane shown in the commercal.

  • the guy is named bazooka. never released out here :)

  • I would buy a modern era tiger cat.

The guys who sing the jingles on all these 80s joe commercials are awesome.

  • only a month and a half left til the rerelease of the tiger rat and python patrol conquest man i cant wait

  • that was genius fuckin marketing.

hey cobra rattlers aren't selling for shit... lets give them stripes and tiger stickers and resell them as good guy planes.

I should know how well it worked.

    I have one.

Hell I've got both conquest x30s.

    goddamned python patrol.

    :-/

  • Yes. This was released in 1988 not 1992. Notice how Dusty yells "Duke is back!". Duke was seriously injured in 1987's G.I. Joe the Movie. His battle with Serpentor left him in a coma. At the end of the movie it was revealed that he would recover. This clip shows that he made his return to duty a year later in 1988.

  • as the story goes, Duke actually died. but once hasbro saw how badly optimus prime's death was taken they edited in a quick fix for duke. i believe at the end of the movie you see duke's face in the clouds (ie in remembrance.)

  • Sweet! I can't wait to get them all!

  • they'll never make sweet toys like that again.

  • Aww man... TIGER FORCE!!! I remember my 7th Bday in 1988 getting a whole bunch of Tiger Force Joes and Vehicles!!!

  • i have the new GI Joe Tiger force duke and flint

  • Those are too early for 90's, that is when Joe color schemes were believable and cool before the neon clashing blaze period.

  • There is no way this is from 1992. Tiger Force was released in 1988 and were long gone from shelves by '92.

  • How I wanted those vehicles as a kid. But I have them now.
