I'm fairly good with charcoal/graphite but those charcoal pencils your using have a tip about the size of a normal pencil right?

Because here in germany I can't find generals charcoal pencils anywhere and the ones you get are pretty thick, you can't keep a sharp point on them long enough to get for example the detail like your palm tree leaves.

Any tips?

@GiveMeUrCookies I usually gain inspiration from something or multiple things in most cases, like other artwork. For this drawing me and my buddy Tyler found something cool to draw and went for it. I use the ideas that come to me as far as technique goes... but ya, I usually just go for it and come up with how I'm gonna draw it as I go

First of all, I just wanna say your an inspiration for me. I'm currently teaching myself to draw because I want to be an animator.
