My question is what animation your talking about in the current times that are these poor knock offs? Sure you can argue the new scooby-doo and Batman's are knock offs but not poor. and the Boondocks, Chowder, flapjack (all who recently are ending their runs), and even shows like Full metal Alchemist are some of the better shows out that I find better than stuff in the 90s in some aspects.

@barqueWorks well that's to save some time but there are still allot like the Boondocks and Spectacular spidernan that do it hand drawn at least with characters. Hell Venture Bros. started as a flash cartoon and they had it transferred to hand drawn from there.

Flash is cheap to do which is why it's used. in comparison unless it is an animated movie where you can get triple the money you put in back and then some if your choice is 10 dollars a second in flash to 150 in hand you cut costs.

I think the reason they make proportions less accurate nowadays is because the artists "think" they're being creative. Sometimes they take it overboard.
