  • Is it true that the front end can be removed to allow two units to work together?

  • ok ;) ;) keep making perfect videos ;)

  • @kosn4smw: Thanks, my next review should be up soon. I have tried to upload it once but the conversion was faulty as the sound was out of sync and the video was laggy. But it should be live within a week as I will keep uploading it until it renders correctly.

  • do you have any TGV model

  • @kosn4smw: Hi there, Yes I have the model of the Lima TGV Reseau which is the North France version and I also have the TGV Thalys PBA set which is a non runner due to a dishonest seller in Australia that I bought it from in 2007. But I will have it fixed by the summer hopefully and I also have the Mehano RENFE AVE S-100 train pack that is the Spanish version of the TGV as well as the Kato N-scale version that I reviewed last year. I shall be getting the La Poste next, not sure when.

  • If this train is DCC ready, will it work if i dont have a dcc controller?

  • @Zathres: Yes as a DCC ready model train is setup to have a decoder socket. So you will be fine to run it on an analogue layout. Most DCC fitted model trains will also work on analogue so long as the decoder has a "passive" mode which most do. But check with the seller/dealer to confirm as the specs differ between makes. But Hornby and Bachmann models are fine.

  • Stunning looks. I really want one :)

  • @MegaTrainlover: Thanks mate. Yes its a stunning set and I will be getting the extra two carriages to make the full set soon. Hattons still have this pack on offer if you want one mate but don't hang about as they will sell quick at that price.

  • very very very very detailed ;)

  • @kosn4smw: Its a nice model, very nice detailling as well mate ^_^.

  • That is a very nice train pack and great review! I can't wait to see your layout go up in the spring! You have a great collection!

  • @aocruiser: Its a stunning train pack mate. I am drawing up some track diagrams for the layout at the moment as it will be using Hornby third and fourth radius curved track so that longer trains can run without derailling.

  • Great video mate. What a bargain!

  • @moddeells16: Thanks buddy. Yes it was a good price.

  • did your 2012 catalogue come with a price list? mine didnt and everyone ive spoken to, including ppl who ordered theirs direct from Hornby, has said theirs didnt come with one either.

  • @andyfriarsjunc: Yes mine came with a price list mate. To be honest I have never ordered direct from Hornby since TNT delivered a parcel with a couple of locomotives in the box and dumped the parcel in a puddle back in 2007 when I was out and it was pouring with rain. The model boxes were soaked as well as the outer box, so I wasn't happy. I tend to use Hattons or Rails Of Sheffield when ordering models as they use a better courier company.

  • @EWS60008 i got mine from hattons but no of their catalogues have price lists. how odd that sum do and some dont

  • @andyfriarsjunc: They probably forgot to put one in the catalogue prior to posting it to you. It might be worth giving them a ring mate as they may send one out to you as they are quite good like that.

  • Sorry mate to bother u but can show us this model at rail world.

  • @HevyTH1: Will do mate, but it will be in the spring when layout is running and also when I get the other two carriages I need to complete the train.
